I actually 'on a bet' went in a restaurant years ago that had a sign that said shirt and shoes required, with only a shirt and a pair of shoes. Nobody said anything, only stared in amazement. I was arrested about an hour later......

Yeah, 'cause all restaurants have policies to give out free food. You get thrown out, or the police come to take you away.
