I think you have to come to terms with your need for love.
Perhaps, rather than 'lowering your standards', you are simply coming down to earth, and realizing that all appearances are an illusion. There are many, many worthy people out there, even though they would never be seen in a Coke commercial!

I have only been on two dates in my life. One told me she lowered her standards to date me and I am with the other one. My standards are still the same.

I married (many years ago) for fear he would be my "last chance"...I learned that I'd rather be alone the rest of my life, than in a relationship and be unhappy..."settling" isn't the way to go, and I sure wouldn't want to be settled for...
So, nowadays no...there is no desperation and never will be...my life will be as happy and good as I make it...whether I'm single or part of a couple...partner is desired, but not required...

yep. i've got slept with fairly some females out of desperation (dry spell) and that i be apologetic approximately all of them. they weren't as warm as they could desire to of been yet on the time i mandatory a sprint nookie. yet i choose i could of waited and tried a sprint greater sturdy to get that dime piece. so next time shes gonna be super and mind-blowing!
