I would say 3. And go on a rainy day.

We took our daughter who is 3 this past May and she had a BLAST and still remembers every ride and every character she got to see.

Even when her Disney movies start up she ask me if I remember when we went to Disney.

Going on a rainy day means no WAIT. I rode Space Mountain 3x in a row.

We took our kids ages four and five. They did great all day long for a few days in a row. However, a year later, they don't really remember very much. Too much to remember maybe. Anyway, we're taking them again this year, and they are beyond excited.
I'd say anything under five might be a little too young to enjoy a full day. If you plan to stay at one of the hotels you can always go back to the room for a siesta and hit the park later on in the evening. Bring a stroller if your child can still fit in one even if they don't want to sit because they will get tired. A cheapo unbrella stroller is fine.

My parents waited until I was 9 and my brother was 11 before we went to Disney Land for the first time. Its such a memorable and expensive vacation, they should remember it.

I have all my memories of Disney Land and I am very excited to take my children there one day, thou I will wait for them to be old enough to enjoy it.

I hope u have a wonderful time when you decide to go!

The best age is when the child is 8 years old.when the child is below 8 he wouldn't be able to understand the situations going on the disney land.but when he is up to eight he can have the maximum fun.

I believe that the best time to take a trip as expensive and exiting as Disneyland is when your child is old enough to remember everything he experienced at least until his 20, when he is old enough to walk by himself for a long time and when he is old enough to be thankful to you for the experience. But Innocent enough to enjoy it to the max. I will say around 8? of course it depends on your child maturity, you'll be the best judge of that

I would say 7 to 10 when they have the endurance for it, and the memory stays. Go to your Public Library and get THE MAGIC BEHIND DISNEY, it's real helpful. one of their hints is there are less people on Fri and Sat, than the rest of the week

The answer to that question lies in a complex mathematical algorithm.

(Total Age of all Children + 3) + 1
___________________________
Total # of children in group + # adults in group

If the youngest child is over that number, you are good. If not, you stand a good chance of having a problem (lost child, temper tantrum, etc.).

I went just before I turned 6. I think it is a good age because I remember it well but I don't remember any conflicts/traveling woes that I'm sure my mother does. It was perfect.

Around 3. At that age they could at least do a view rides and shows.

They should have a lot of energy to walk around they should not be afraid of the rides. Ten would be a good age, so they can remember going.
