sorry for your sore throat..
i found this online simlar to what i grew up with when i had one
Make some lemon tea, preferably Lipton caffeine free herbal tea. I like it’s because it’s cheap and has zing. Let the tea steep longer than usual. We’re making a potion here, not regular tea.
Add a lot of lemon juice. This is what gives your throat relief, so don’t shirk on it, even if it makes the tea taste bad. If you have a bottle of lemon juice, add three capfuls.
Add enough honey to balance the lemon juice and make it drinkable (maybe a tablespoon). This also helps soothe the throat. my husband would add whisky to that because it helps

Okay, I am living proof right now. I have a sore throat majorly as we speak. Gargle with salt water. Spray with that throat spray (it's gross I know, but it's ok). Take thos Cold Eaze cough drops. They have zinc in them which speeds up the cold process. ANd, it soothes the throught. Drink tea with lemon or honey or get those Thera-flu packets. Drink plenty of liquids. The more you swallow, the easier it is. Eat chicken noole soup. And, most importantly, get hand sanatizer or wash hands frequently. Hope this helps. Good luck on getting it taken care of!

Trust me and gargle with Apple Cider Vinegar!!!!! Add a little water to dilute it and gargle about every 3 or so hours! I learned this from my doctor after years of just doing salt water and tea, now I ONLY DO THE APPLE CIDER VINEGAR and my sore throats only last about a day or so.

Everyone gave you good suggestions, here's one more - before you sleep at night - the last thing that should enter your throat should be cognac with butter. Flame up a jig of cognac in a wine glass then when its warm enough, put a tablespoon of butter in it and let it melt. when that's done, sip, dont gulp it down. It might take a few minutes to finish but you'll wake up feeling better.

personally, gargling with salt water is too harsh for me. i try to speak as little as possible and suck on throat drops as much as i can. drinking mild warm water with honey helps too.
