where is it? I heard about how the Ethiopians are hiding it, why? I doubt they have it.

Supposedly its in one of two places: one is the church in Ethiopia which you mention....its well-guarded, behind a heavily guarded fence and is only accessible to the priests from the small Jewish sect which has it.

The other is that the Knights Templar found it during the Crusades when they were excavating under where the temple used to be located in Jerusalem and took it to Europe. When a number of them fled before the Friday the 13th massacre of the order, rumour has it that they took it to Scotland and its buried under Rosslyn Chapel.

Hey, if nothing else, the latter is an interesting story. Was there even such a thing in the first place, though?

In contrast to the general consensus of historians (that supposes that the ark was taken away and destroyed), variant traditions about the ultimate fate of the Ark include the intentional concealing of the Ark under the Temple Mount, the removal of the Ark from Jerusalem in advance of the Babylonians (this variant usually ends up with the Ark in Ethiopia), the removal of the Ark by the Ethiopian prince Menelik I (purported son of King Solomon and the Queen of Sheba), removal by Jewish priests during the reign of Manasseh of Judah, possibly taken to a Jewish temple on Elephantine in Egypt, and the miraculous removal of the Ark by divine intervention (Cf. 2 Chronicles).

Concealment
Some believe that the Ark of the Covenant and the Tabernacle of the Lord was hidden. This is referenced by four separate sources:

1. the Mishnayot of Rabbi Hertz
2. the Marble Tablets of Beirut
3. the Copper Scroll
4. the ancient Ben Ezra Synagogue sacred texts.

The story is that the ethiopians have it but this is disputed by everyone else. The site of the Arc is guarded 24 hours a day by priests. Others say the Arc was hidden in the Egyptains Pyramids.

It is safe in Ethiopia. No greedy person would believe that impoverished people wouldn't sell it for the money. If any made it past the whole town of protectors, just touching the ark would bring instant death. I saw a nice piece on TV about it, not sure if I believe that it is there. Sure would be cool to bask in Gods presence which (may still be) is in it. Plane tickets are how much?

The ethiopians are too poor to have anything to hide it with.

I've heard some say it was taken up to heaven with the Garden of Eden to keep people from messing with it.

Personally, I just don't care. You could actually put the artifacts that are inside it on public display, and people would still not believe.

$10.00 has it under the Temple Mount. lol

Really though, nobody knows ... well, God knows lol.

Makes sort of Biblical sense though, that it'd be under the Temple Mount, the land over which the most battles have been fought on this earth.

Keep watching it, someone's going to blow it up and there the Ark will be. And you'll owe me $10.00.

The Arc of the Covenant was the representation of God among His people.

In the New Testament, we find Jesus living in the hearts of His believers.

WE are the temple of God now.
