I'm an agnostic, which means I believe in God, but I don't think we can ever prove God does or doesn't exist or know anything about God. I realize it's my belief and intuition, not proof. Actually, if I saw God, I'm not sure I would trust my own perception. I could be hallucinating or mental or something, so seeing is not necessarily believing.
I believe in God because of a myriad of little miracles that have happened in my life. For whatever reason, on separate occasions I was connected to "the big pipeline" for a few seconds here and there and some amazing things happened, including a few lives that were saved.

Tell me you first, what's the difference between you and a dead body?
Of course it's not an arm, a leg, a head or something like that, it's the soul that got away from the body when it's dead, right?
We all believe in this soul although none of us saw it sometime .
And believing in Allah also does not require seeing Him, any thing about Him is supernatural and so we must believe in Him .
Another perspective of this problem is to believe in God because of His impressions, look around and you'll find his effects surrounding you everywhere, the perfect sky, the beautiful flowers with many thousands of different colors and smells, the flawless system of circulating water in nature, ...........all of them will tell you that there's only one God in the existence .

"if He create creature of His, it must be in pure goodwill towards it. And if then He blaze upon it sometimes..and sometimes hides Himself from it behind a Veil, it is still always that the creature may go onward. If that Light never came, men would deny the very existence of Allah. If It was never veiled, all would be spellbound. That is why He will let neither state last forever. For me in this moment there is no Veil, not so much as a wink, between me and Him-a time for quiet, that my humanity die into His Diety while my body burns in the fire of His Power; that there be an end to trace and relic, face and word."

Well, sight is just a sense that reacts to light reflecting off of things. There's a lot of elements of reality that you can't "see". An example would be air. Another example would be any submolecular structure smaller than a photon.
A better question would be, "why does Man believe in God when the whole idea is f*cking ridiculous?"

Well, today there is evidence of God all around us. In the way that the universe operates, the complexity of life, God interacting in peoples lives.
A few thousand years ago, God showed himself to the nation of Israel as a cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night. Jesus then came along and was God incarnate, visible everyday.
Just because you haven't seen him, doesn't mean He doesn't exist.

Some people feel this need to think there's an omnipotent being with a higher power than us ruling everything. They have faith that there is some form of God, even if they cant see anything

I feel Him in my life every day. I don't have to see to believe. Faith is believing in things unseen. You can't see the wind, but you know it's there. You can't see oxygen, but you know it's there because you breath it. I believe in God. I know Him and the marvelous things He's done in my life. And I know that without my faith I would not be here today. He saved me from myself. He is my strength. I love Him with all my heart, with all my soul and with all my mind. I pray you will do the same. God bless!

Well I don't know about everyone else but I believe in God because all of creation shows His handiwork. My very image in the mirror attest to the fact that there is a God, not to mention the fact that He lives inside of me.

Sometimes man feels a little depressed and looks elsewhere for help, guidance, and happiness. Religion is one such man-made things created to alleviate the feelings of "There has to be more" syndrome. Religion to psychiatrists is a positive way to cure many mental illnesses but it has never been proven to be fully successful and so Prozac was created!

We believe in lots of things we can't see, from germs to the wind to other galaxies. The reason I don't believe in gods is that there is no evidence for them, not simply that I can't see them.
