Good cholesterol is more scientifically known as HDL or high-density lipoproteins. There are a few ways that are very good ways to increase your HDL levels. Exercising at least 45 minutes, at least 4 times a week can increase your HDL levels by about 5mg/dl (milligrams/deciliter). In addition, losing excess weight, along with not smoking is also connected with higher HDL levels. Moderate alcohol consumption (no more than 1 glass of alcohol per day) has also been linked to higher HDL levels.
If all else fails, there are several drugs that are intended to help control your cholesterol levels. One such drug is the drug Vytorin. If the natural ways don't work, try contacting your physician about the available medication. It's a very good option!

Take more fiber rich food like veggies, fruits and focus on seafood like tuna and salmon that's rich in omega 3. Have quaker oats for breakfast or bran cereals with soya milk. Stay away from oily food or food that's rich in sodium (salty food). Exercise more often as well.
