Usually, a power amplifier is what connects to the waveguide or coaxial cable. It doesn't have to be a lot of power, most microwave is 4 watts or less, but it's still an amplifier. There is usually a duplexer to allow a receiver to be connected as well. I have not heard the term "microwave emitter" used in context with connection to the waveguide before.

yes there is,,,,its a device the government attaches on your cable , so they can monitor everything you do.......paranoid yet?
