Speak to a trusted adult and tell them your concerns. Your friend needs help and at 14 you are too young to carry this burden by yourself.

Definatley tell someone. Depression is serious, expessically when mixed with drinking. Even if you risk a friendship....do something now before you regret it later. My best friend was a serious alcoholic...all through high school and into our early 20's. 8 car accidents, many blackouts, and several episodes in jail later....she is finally on the road to recovery. I wish I had said something a long time ago. Sometimes...you don't take the right step because you're unsure of where you will land. If you care about him...you'll help

Your too young to this on your own. If you are a true friend you will ask for your Parent's help and then approach the school counselor together. Good luck and I hope your friend gets better.

You need to tell a guidance counselor at school at least. Social services would really be the best bet. Don't sit by and do nothing, he sounds like he could really hurt himself

You're a good friend to have. If you have a school counselor talk with them. Your parents may know hot to help also but here is a web site: http://www.alanon.org.za/
Al Anon helps you to know how to deal with the person. Unfortunately, an alcoholic must help themself and no one can do it for them.

Tell your school's counselor. I'd say to tell teh parents, but obvioulsy, that's not going to help here.
