Depends on the directions for use and the product, but must of the time warm water is recommended because cold water may make your hair "freezy" and hot water takes away the natural oil from your hair making it even worst or causing sometimes breakage.

Hot water first. At the last rinse, use cold water (yes, it's freezing). Cold water closees your hair cuticles. Plus, it locks in moisture and shine. When I didn't know about the cold water thing, my hair would be flyaway. Now, with cold water, it's better.

Warm Water. Hot water will raise you conditioner away and cold water is too cold if you can stand it.

It depends on whether or not you have oily hair or dry hair.

If you have oily hair you should use cool to luke warm water. Shampooing with hot water increases your hairs oil production, as does conditioning.

If you have dry hair you should use much warmer water for the reasons mentioned above.

All i understand is that warm water can dry out the hair and roughs up the hair scales, and rinsing with cool water enables the hair scales lay flat (via fact of this while doing an fairly final rinse with cool water enables with frizziness). Washing with heat water and rinsing with cool water is the suited thank you to bypass.

warm water will do. hot water opens up the hair to be receptive of shampoo and conditioners. cooler water closes them off and traps in nutrients. so hot first, then rinse with cooler water. it doesn't have to be cold just lukewarm will do.

Cold is best to rinse out your conditioner with! it helps close the cuticles in your hair shaft and lock in the moisture!
