He will forgive you (and forget it) But now you have to forgive yourself. That is harder. But do it! Realize that we all make mistakes, sometimes stupid ones...but God still loves us and forgives us...and if He sees that your heart is sorrowful and remorseful, He will know the truth.

The best way to feel better, is to do what it sounds like you have already done. And that is to first know that you have done wrong, and then to ask for God's forgiveness. If you have already asked for God's forgiveness, then you do not have to ask Him again. For He told us in his Holy Word, that if we confess our sins, that He is faithful to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. And even you may of broken God's heart, He still has forgiven you. And the Bible also teaches us that when He forgives us our sins, that He also forgets about them. And God expects us to forgive ourselves when we do wrong. And I believe that you must realize, that you are a human being. And human beings are not going to live a perfect life. And God does not expect us to do so; even though He does expect us to do our best. The only thing that you can do from this point on, is to try and make sure that you do not make the same mistake again. Just ask God's Holy Spirit to help you to be strong spiritually; and to help you to put the matter behind you.

If you are truly sorry for what you've done, God has already forgiven you. If He can forgive you, then you need to forgive yourself. Pray for His help in forgiving yourself. If there is anyway to "make it right," then do it, no matter how hard it is. You'll feel better for it. God bless you, dear one.

Well, I'm Catholic, so I would go to confession. It's pretty nice to sit face to face with another human being, confess your sins to God, and talk a little bit about it with someone who is not only well-educated but who has heard it all. Plus that it is always so healing to do that examination of my conscience, verbalize what is weighing me down, apologize to God for having offended him, promise to try to do better in the future (and mean it!), and then hear that my sins have been forgiven. I am so thankful for the sacrament of reconcilliation.
Jesus said to them again, "Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I send you."
And when he had said this, he breathed on them and said to them, "Receive the holy Spirit. Whose sins you forgive are forgiven them, and whose sins you retain are retained."
(John 20: 21-23)

You need to go to the person that you have offended and ask for their forgiveness. You need to ask God's forgiveness. Did you know that you don't have to be Catholic to go to confession? You can and I find it very much like a counseling session. They are sworn to secrecy and even If I go face to face and they know who I am they never let on that you even talked to them outside the confessional.
Just a thought. Peace be with you.

You need to apologize to whoever you feel you wronged...not god. They may not forgive you, but if you apologize you have done all that you can, and will be able to learn from your mistake.

You prayed and now you have to forget it. After praying for forgiveness then he has forgotten it. It's your turn to forget. Go shopping and get it off your mind....That will help!
