Take deep breathes...count to ten, try and remind yourself when you feel like you're going to snap. If you really are serious and you want to cut this habit, you have to try hard to acknowledge when it is about to occur and to do something to prevent it from happening, such as what I just mentioned and /or even removing yourself from the situation if possible, until you've learned an effective way for coping/ handling stressful situations.

It is hard to tell you why you can't stop raging whenever you do not tell the details of why you r raging. If you feel that you r going to rage sit down count to ten try to sort out the situation and then see if you still rage. Sometimes people rage just because they r quick tempered. Sometimes there is a medical reason such as high blood pressure. If it continues maybe you should check with a medical doctor first and then seek the help of a therapist to help teach you ways to control your anger. Hope i helped.

Rage is the emotional state of a person not having control of one's emotions. The following will teach you how to gain full control of your emotions, no matter how old you are.
BE HONEST with yourself, because you live with you 100% of the time.
Sit quietly and alone with your back erect.
Seek within your mind what it is that motivates the rage.
Ask yourself why this enrages you.
Ask yourself what other emotions would balance the rage.
For 42 continuous days ask and seek the above, followed by this visualizing/meditating exercise.
Concentrate on your tail bone and imagine a Poppy Red ball of energy surrounding it. Now imagine cords entering the energy ball and you taking a knife cutting all the cords away. Take a gentle deep breath and gently exhale, while imagining fire or water (or both) purifying the energy ball and protecting it from any more cords attaching to it.
Do the same visualization of energy balls, the cords being cut and the energy balls being cleansed and protected with the following colours and body areas:
Orange Orange at the sexual organs, near the lower intestine
Golden Yellow at the navel
Emerald Green at the heart
Sky Blue at the throat
Indigo Blue at the forehead, just above the eyebrows
Violet White at the crown, top of the head
This exercise will help you to become more aware of your emotions, how they feel inside your body and what actions triggers them. By doing this exercise for 90 days you will learn to control your emotions.

Rage is obviously an anger issue....what makes you angry? Rage is uncontrollable anger that can get you into a lot of trouble on many levels...you need to seek counseling, so that a psychologist can help you resolve this issue and maybe other issues...... It is good you are asking for help and realize you have a problem..that is a BIG STEP Good luck to you.

You can look into psychological help. There are 'hot-lines', you can call 24/7. Are there people other than yourself, at risk here? (*Are there children in the household?) Once, you can at least establish, "what", is causing or adding to this "rage", you can be on the road, to recovery. It could be a chemical imbalance (*hormonal),stress, supressed anger, a variety of factors, seek professional help. You don't want to hurt yourself, or anyone else, or you wouldn't have asked, "How can I stop???" Good Luck!

You could be raging because you don't let it out, and it builds and all comes out at once. Maybe because you feel being angry is something only bad people feel, and before you know what your saying. it all comes out!! You should give yourself permission to be angry, and then let it out slowly over the days and weeks and months. If it is the case that you hold it in, you could be holding in things from decades ago. It could also help to get on some antidepressant/anxiety meds. These med's also help with PMS.

Get away from people; that most often the cause.
Since you still have to deal with people deal with them only on a business bases. And if you take it further than that remember that you accepted them into your life so you are responsible for how they're making you feel; therefore, choose to keep them there and control your rage, or get them out of you life again.
