LOL you guys are so funny, I like the points you make, but the argument about a lady named Agatha being a baby one day is kinda I dont know. LOL. And of course I knew I was right.

I'd say it's more of an old lady name. I just can't picture a little baby girl named Agatha. It's not a very cute name...and if you don't like it, I'm sure there is something you and your girlfriend can agree upon. There are so many beautiful names out there. I, personally, don't really like that particular name.

i see where your coming from, when i do think of the name Agatha, i do think of an old lady but at the same time it could be a nice name for a baby girl, so im not sure. i guess i would say you should stay away from that name, plenty of other nice names for girls.

There are no old people names. Everyone is born and named. John ,Mary, Noah ,Mark .These are all ancient names that are still popular. I am betting you knew or saw someone very old named Agatha and associate it with her.

LOL! Agatha is an old lady name for sure. My great grandma is named Agatha or something like that. Yeah...but...if thats what she wants, let her have it. *Laughs* She will be the one carrying the baby, not you, so its her choice. Try suggesting some names you like, and see if she likes them too!

i'm sorry I do exactly not fairly like quite a few of them. i imagine there are different unique fairly names you would possibly want to apply, yet no offense i imagine of old gruesome women after I see thes names. Hazel is okay. i love Grace even with the undeniable fact that.

Lol, I kinda agree with you...it sounds like a name someone older would have. However, that doesn't mean it isn't a nice name. Does the name hold some sentimental value for her? Maybe it was the name of someone that meant or means something special to her?

"Hail, Caesar...!" LOL
Agatha is from the Greek and means "Benevolent."
Another old lady name - Abigail - sounds so plain when pronounced in English. But, if you pronounce it in Spanish as it's spelled in English, it sounds pretty and exotic:
"Ah be gah eel."

You only think it's an old lady's name because it's not a "popular" name nowadays. I think it's a good name. There are too many Jennifers and Kellys already.

i actually have a sister named agatha and i could see how it could sound kinda old, but it's pretty unique. besides, it's a famous store so why not. you could do a lot worse and name your kid Gertrude or Prudence!
