I am 39. I have just begun dating a pretty 20 year old blonde. I have her mother's blessing. They both know my real age.
Nobody has mistaken me for father. I can probably pass for 30.

We just got started and I am the closest to being happy than I have been in a long time. My last relationship fell apart because we were never together. I know it is a big gap, I certainly didn't plan it that way. It would a lot easier if we were only 10 years at most apart. FWIW, I have very little in common with women at any age.

what's wrong? if you have a great girl who you are crazy for...why ain't you happy? age has nothing to do with happiness. enjoy your girlfriend. don't let age bother you. if she makes you feel good about yourself, thank your stars above that you found her.

To me age is just a number. You are only young as you feel. If she knows your real age and her mother does, then it shouldn't be a problem then. You shouldn't care what others think. It only matters what both parties involved think
You can't keep bringing up the past because if you do then this relationship will be doomed to fail just like all the rest.

Do you have things in common? That's a big age gap. You grew up in a different era. Are you two compatible or are you just wanting everyone to tell you its great you have a younger woman? If you have to ask if you should be happy maybe you should move on...

as long as the both of you are happy then age shouldnt matter-that should be the least of your worries- yeah my boyfriend is 10yrs older than me but ol well, my grand dad was 22 yrs older than my grand ma,, and i had a cousin that was 26 dating a 50 or 60 year old [no he wasnt her sugar daddy, they were ina actual relationship} the family met this guy and eveything.
Love and happiness has no age to it as long as the bothif you are consenting adults {18 and up)

if both of you are happy thats cool.
but a generation gap may come down the line.
music may defer etc. be open minded.
my husband is 6 yrs older than me.
we agree on alot, but i stay hip, he is stuck in the 70:s.
he thinks music i like is sucky!!
i like no doubt, green day, emenim, cold play all new groups, plis old stuff too.
he is kinda like a dad at times, saying that crap isnt music..get me???
if she hasnt dated alot, she may do like i did at age 26 and see if there is more to life.
we got back together but we had our times.
you have a way bigger gap than we do!!!
she hasnt experienced much life.
she may need to date more people. can u accept this?
she may not know it now. she may later.
my husband even told me at 17 that i needed to see others.
i said no!!! all i want is you.
but at 26, i wish i had listened to him.
he was in the navy etc. he had lived alot .
i wanted to get our from my mommy and daddy. he had his own place.
but yes i loved him or rather i was in lust with him.
he was my first!!
ive been with 3 others now.
but now i know im in love with him.
weve been together 23 yrs!!!!
iam 40. he is nearly 47.
i turn 41 in october.
good luck. but remember..she is young. be prepared for fall out later. if you really love her & she loves you..it will all come back together.

I don't see that being a problem as long as she and her parents are cool with it. Go for it!
