Does she have a reason for wanting you to give up (some of) you friends?
ANNIE, I couldn't have said it better myself. IS SHE WORTH IT? Is she just being controlling or insecure or just want to be the only women in your life? Is she worth giving them up? You and only you Truly Know!
Well it is obvious that MR. HOWIE has found a gooder and knows that when you want to be with someone for the rest of your life and become one, that, that someone should be the most important thing in your life. That someone is your friend, homie, lover, confidant, the one you turn to, lean on, share everything with, ride or die, down for whatever, for everything, good and bad, and you aren't allowing her to be everything that she can be to you, and for you, if your female friends are causing a problem, are they real friends? If they were true friends they would be happy for you, give you your space, and help insure your future happiness and if this special someone who is having a problem with your female friends calling tooooooo much or whatever it is that's bothering her, you need to figure out exactly what it is you want, if you don't know already. Women aren't stupid, especially not this one, but they tend to let a lot of things slide from time to time while in the back of their minds they always know when something is wrong or if something is going on that shouldn't be, and instead of talking about it or leaving it alone they waste years stressing themselves out trying to change a man that just isn't ready to settle down. I think that it's a good thing that your girl is addressing how she feels about you and all of your many female friends now because obviosly she knows what she wants, and wants you to decide what you want also. She is giving you an opportunity to be a real man by being honest about what you want and also she is taking time to work on areas of the relationship that need it so things CAN go smoothly, otherwise why complain when she could just leave it alone, what is she getting out of being agravated?
And it is evident that TRANSPLANTED is a mature women she wants you to look at things from your girls point of view before making a decision. You didn't put any details of why your girl could be having a problem with your female friendS, I wonder why!

NO...never give up friends for a lover/boyfriend/girlfriend...there's no reason to...question why this is an issue? Is your g/f asking this of you? Is it a control issue or an insecurity issue of hers?

Friends are MUCH to precious to toss aside for a romance...and someone who truly cared about you, and was secure in your relationship, wouldn't have an issue with you having opposite sex (platonic) friends...

It depends on how insecure and jealous she is.
If she is insecure and becomes jealous easily, then kiss those women goodbye lest you have trouble!
