No you don't. If there's been a restraining order or something like that in your past, that would probably make a difference--or if he requests that your letters not be put through to him. But I've been writing to my uncle who's been inside for about 15 years now, and my letters do reach him, and I only applied to be added to his "approved visitors" list last year. In-person visits are one thing, letters are another. If you've tried writing a few times and not gotten through, and you're pretty sure it's not just because your ex is not wanting to communicate with you, try getting in touch with legal aid services in your area. Good luck.

The fact is that whoever told you that you had to be on a guest list to write them is hiding something. He obviously is trying to either distance himself from you or be on some playa stuff. Not necessarily the way you may think but by getting visits from other females and or getting associates that he meets throughout the prison to hook him up with a female by saying man I don't get no male and no visits to his cell-mate or something. So just for clarification you don't have to be on a visitors list to write but he can get your mail sent back to you by putting you on the mail watch list and telling them in a way that you are harassing him.

if he does not want to be in contact with you than you should not impose yourself on him ,this is so irritating and rude, cause when you need space and choose not to deal with someone over negative reasons it fells like you are being manipulated by some needy insecure sponge and if you wont give this pest the time of day then oyu are cold and the bad guy and worse this sponge turns into an emotional monster,I already dont felk like dealing with you until I sort things out or never and now you disrespect me with that drama tears or accusations and I want to yell drop dead go the hell away go make some one else miserable you selfish #$%$%^^ and I feel ugly and dont like feeling like this and it happens when manipulative people back you into a corner the only thing that happens is negativity escalates or the weaker ones than I give in instead of attack both responses are wrong, but then they feel resentful and hate you more, so if he does not want to talk to you leave him alone, and leave your door open if he wants to contact you one day

No, you can write to him. I know in California you need to have his CDC# (California Dept of Corrections) and his Buliding and Bed number. Probably the same for most states. I am assuming you mean he is in prison rather than a local jail. If you are taking about a local jail you may just need his name.

properly in my opinion i don't believe of it became rude of you to seem over the targeted visitor record. You were helping her plan the party and decorate. Why would not you be able to seem on the targeted visitor record? Now, if it were an digital mail she became writing, or something else that became completely unrelated, i might want to assert yeah you've been snooping round. yet fairly? A targeted visitor record she disregarded in the front of you at the same time as you've been there to help her plan? I say it truly is straightforward sport, and that i comprehend many will disagree with me, yet actual it truly is what i imagine and that is how that is. As for no matter if you ought to bypass to this party, i might want to assert no. regardless of how I were given this innovations, why might want to i might want to need to spend my effective time and ability going to a persons' party at the same time as they're so nasty and rude? And calling me and my kin the "fat" kin? If I were you, i might want to call her or RSVP to her that you're very sorry, even with the undeniable fact that the "fat" kin won't be able to make it. that fairly might want to annoy the crap out of me--"oh yet you weren't meant to make certain that." i do not care the way you got here upon out about it, the very actuality of the remember is, she isn't someone you ought to associate your self with, and that i might want to assert she will be able to bypass kick rocks.

Call the jail and talk to the head jailer. Tell him just what you have told us. If he is nice he will tell your ex that you want to write to him and get the info you need.

No. They will get any mail sent to them. However, keep in mind that all mail is looked over by prison employees before the prisoners receive it.

All states and their prisons have different rules. You need to contact the facility to be sure.
