There is and always has been a keen seen of rivalry between all of the military service. They compete in inter-service competitions (shooting, boxing, orienteering, etc), competition for weapons systems (very expensive to the American citizen),
percentage o the DOD budget (navy wants another CVN, army wants M1A1s, air force more of everything! and the Marines....more marines).

Competition brings the best out of people in sports, business and all walks of live. It is the same for the military. Sometime however, it might be possible to save some defense dollars if the services could use some of the same high dollar equipment.

Army, Air Force, Navy, and Marine are competing for second place. Coast Guard is number one.

Army and the Marine Corps are considered "rivals" and will probably talk smack about each other. But when it comes down to it they are the same side and are professional around each other.

Are you talking about the yearly competition in shooting?
Army has won sharpshooter 3 years in a row, my son was there last year. HOOAH!

Otherwise the military supports & backs up each branch.

each branch of the service thinks they are the best the country has to offer, they all compete against each other, even the national guard who get no credit for the things they occomplish its sad, they are to protect our shores and our land here at home hence the name National Guard. hope this is what you meant and not a football game :)

Perhaps you are thinking of football? In that case its the Army - Navy game that is most popular, I believe.
