Remeber you will never get a decent awnser with all these American patriots because every time a question like this is
asked they will start bragging on about how the U.S has stealth technology and stuff. But Im with you. F15 fighter plane did get killed by India's Su-30MK in wargames. And when I watched
the military channel ( which you dumb patriots don't bother too)
and found that the Su-35 is the only plane that can out manouver them. The U.S general who is the most patriotic of all Americans
said this. If the Su-30MK could whoop the F-15 plane
and won 90% of combats the new Indian made
Su-30MKI is said to be equal to the American F-16 so
Su-35 and Su-37 are equal to the F-22 raptor. And
the Su-47 will definetly be equal to the F-35 by the looks of it.

It depends how you look at it, really. Sure, Russian planes are maneuverable and such, but that means nothing when some retardedly-accurate Mach-whatever missile is cruising right up your rear after having been fired from some stealthy (and expensive) American product. Pilot training is having less to do with air combat as weapons continue to advance. Sure, in WWII you had to actually, y'know, shoot your enemy with real bullets and everything, but now you can fire a missile that costs more than one of those Spitfires or BF-109 from a number of miles away, destroying the enemy.
America would still win the air race simply because of its stealth and electronics technology. And to make two notes;
1) The Lightning II is basically a scaled down Raptor, and less expensive. A Raptor costs an insane amount of money because of all the research that had to be put into the program. The JSF, however, benefits from the F-22's research, making it less expensive. (less development had to go into some of the technologies.)
2) The A-10 Thunderbolt II would most likely lose to any other given fighter because that's just not the role it was designed for; the A-10 is a ground attack craft, and lacks any form of air to air weaponry. Older Russian fighters could probably deal with an A-10 with little difficulty.

Today the capability of the pilot is a very diminished factor in play.
Even the Fighter itself isn't all that important.
Russian planes have always been more maneuverable than Americans and the MiG-29 is the most maneuverable today but, and this is the BIG BUT, today its all about your weapon systems, avionics and electronic warfare systems.
The Russian planes may be able to move but to days weapon systems can defeat anything that a man has to pilot (a human being just cant take the g-force to outmaneuver a modern missile) only way to defeat those missiles are modern avionics and electronic warfare systems, all of which the Russians lack.
When you take all that into account the Russians have no chance against modern American fighters and weaponry.
I served in an Air Force (not American)

In all seriousness, you are fantasizing.
The Russian Federation has made substantial improvements in their aviation program over the years, but still suffers from subpar engine and avionics development. Metallurgy is first-rate, but they also lag in the computing infrastructure available in the West that enables design of stealth airframes. This is in addition to not having equality in air-to-air missiles (AMRAAM, Storm Shadow, et al).
The Russian economy has potential for growth that is severely restricted by bureaucratic inefficiency and corruption, badly maintained infrastructure at all levels, and the penetration of criminal organizations into all aspects of business. There is only so much that Iran and China (both with serious problems of their own, Iran suffering from red tape and sanctions, China from a surplus of human capital and badly managed banks) can provide Russia. The Russian Federation needs the European Union. Take the Gazprom income out of the equation and see how Russia's bottom line looks.
The United States is still the largest economy in the world, and growing at a steady clip. Even in budgetary deficit, so much of the world depends on America to remain solvent that even the PRC will buy T-Bills until the cows come home.
As for pilot training, you should be reminded that the finest pilot training programs are still in the United States (despite a number of recent reforms that hurt that effort) and various international gunnery competitions are held in the United States as well. The Americans have experience in running "surge" sorties and have the infrastructure and the depth in personnel to keep their planes in the air and replace pilot losses. The Russians have never run an air campaign that comes close to USN or USAF achievements, not even during the Second World War.
As for the Russian Federation "whooping" America, you should be reminded of a number of severe shortcomings in the Russian homeland's ADA network that are still there. If what you stated was based on serious scholarship, your assessment would be worth an argument or two.
Unfortunately, your inability to articulate anything approximating such hurts your credibility, just as your comparison of "eye candy" weapon systems resembles a debate on the merits of Pokemon trading cards. Once you have some facts under your arm, come back.

the F-22 hasn't been proven in combat yet. I say it's probably the F-18 Super Hornet. And the always popular F-15 is still chugging right along.
But regarding a fight with Russia or China, I'd say it's coming. China's been building up it's arsenal for years. I think I'm more worried about them than Russia. But at the same time I do believe that Russia is headed back towards full communism, under the "leadership" of Putin.
Hopefully the good 'ole, USofA is still enough to give'em h***

I would say the F-22 but it hasnt been proven in combat. As of right now it would be either the F-16 or the A-10.
They got another plane coming out in the future that the AF, Navy, and Marines are going to dominate any plane in the world.

the F-15 has never lost a single air battle year to date. if russia dared to attack us we would bring them to their knees faster than one of our blackbirds can fly. the only reason they have a serous say in the un is because they have over a million nuclear warheads that are pointed at the rest of the world.
