I have dark, thick, frizzy, wiry, coarse and straw-like hair that I unfortunately inherited from my parents. Can I use something like Nair on my head so that the hairs are thinner and perhaps softer? If this is a retarded idea, please suggest anything else you would reccomend ^_^

Thankyou~!

well head hair is a lot thicker than leg hair, so it probably wouldn't work.

go to a salon and get some advice, and also maybe invest in a ceramic hair straightener (that gets up to 450 degrees) there since the salon ones get a lot hotter then the ones you can buy at a normal store. They usually cost about 30 or 40 bucks but they definately are a very good investment.

Ummm...if you use nair on your head you will be bald. I don't think using nair is the thing you are looking for. If you want your hair to be prettier and more manageable there are tons of products on the market that can help. Your best bet is to go to a salon and talk to a stylist about what you can do to improve the look and quality of your hair.

It sounds like you just need a good shampoo/conditioner. Try purelogy hydrate. You can find it on ebay. It has done wonders for my dry, course hair! It actually looks normal!!! I don't think I'd try nair on my head. Once it comes out, it will take time to grow back!

Don't use nair! It will take your hair off your head. You need a hair softener in like a shampoo and conditioners work really well.

well nair contains chemicals that break down hair. so i would make sense if you added that to some water and other goodies that it may make it softer or it would make all your hair fall out. if you are gonna try it try it when you arent doing anything for a while or contact a stylist for help and tips . let us know how it works out

i would NOT put nair on ur head. the scalp skin may be too sensitive. best thing i can say is go to a really good hair salon and ask them. i'm sure they'll have something.

my friends husband was shaving his head and he thought that if he used Nair he wouldn't have to shave as much.... well his head started burning and turned red and then in a couple of days it actually started to peal. i wouldn't recommend that you use Nair, try something that is made for the head i know that there are products out there.

I don't know if you can put it on your head...... but I know you can wax it - are you sure you want to do that??? What if later on you suddenly want thick hair and because you wax/used nair on it - it grows back thinner? Just wanted to make sure you knew that :)

oh ya. if you wanna be bald, i suggest you use nair. use LOTS of conditioner. my hair stylist said shower with shampoo and conditioner once every 4 days, during those 4 days use conditioner only and she said it makes the hair a lot smoother and more gorgeous
