There are just so many opportunities and ways to do this. You want to go get your hair and nails done and you know the elderly lady next door needs groceries, needs to get to a doctors appointment, and doesn't drive, Why not give up your time to help by offering them a ride or even offering to pick up things they need at the market yourself, rather than concentrating on your need to get your hair and nails done? Its a matter of opening your eyes and looking around and seeing others needs. It can be in your own family, a child needs your time but you need to see whats going on on a soap or something, why not shut off the TV and take the child to the park to play or just out in the yard to spend some quality time together. The ways are there to do this if you but look for them, and I might add you need to be discerning because there are unscrupulous people who would take advantage of your goodness so you need to pray for God to show you where He needs you most. God bless you.

This is definitely something to pray about. There are many ways to give to others. We can help them financially. We can give our time. We can minister to them, or just listen when they need to talk. Helping others is putting their needs ahead of our own for the moment but be careful not to give so much that you are neglecting yourself and your family. That's why it is important to pray to God for balance.

WE PUT THE NEEDS OF OTHERS AHEAD OF OUR OWN BECAUSE WHEN OUR FRIENDS/FAMILY ARE IN NEED, WHETHER WE HAVE IT OR NOT, WE ALWAYS TRY TO FIND A WAY TO PROVIDE FOR THEM. SOMETIMES WE END UP WITH THE SHORT END OF THE STICK IF IT'S NOT RECIPROCATED WHEN WE'RE IN NEED... BUT YOU KNOW, LIFE ISN'T ALWAYS LIKE WE WANT IT TO BE...

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.

When we see a person in need, we do what we can to help them.

When we find out someone has a need, we find a way to provide it even if it means that we give up something that we want.

For instance, If a neighbor is sick, you can make a meal for their family.

My personal opinion of your answer, is to always be watchful for the needs of other people. And we also must have a heart of love; not only for ourselves, but for others also. We must many times be willing to give up something that we want ourselves, in order to help provide the needs that other people may have. So many people think today that they have to have so many material things in order to be able to live. And the truth is, if we would just face the truth, that half of the things that we have, we don't even really need. So many of us always want to live on the upper level of the world standards. We always think of only me, myself, and I. We are so often afraid that if we attempt to help anyone else, that we will not have enough for ourself. But Jesus told us in Luke 6:38: "Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give unto your bosom." If you want to truly experience the blessings of God, then start to give unto others. We all need to stop thinking of only ourself; but think of others also.

Sweety, I do that every day of my life. It is called being a mother. My children come first. I will never let them go without. I go without every day and I will gladly do it so that my kids can have what they need. I also give stuff to people and groups that need them.
