today i freaked out,ive been stressing about school and get really pissed off at my mom ...i started yelling,shaking and stratching the hell out of my arm till it bleed.i could control myself .what kind of attack happened to me? what should i do?

sounds like you were overwhelmed by multiple stressors and unable to handle the emotional build up so you just exploded. You need to see a therapist to work with handling stress better

Honey maybe you r under so much stress that you started self mutilation. Sometimes it happens when we are really stressed out. Don't worry honey just try to keep cool and try not to argue with your mom. She may not always be right but sometimes you just can't change some peoples minds. Don't stress it school will be here soon and all of the real stressors will be here depending on your schedule and homework and the peer pressure of school. Try not to do that next time. Sit down somewhere count to ten and realize that you are in control. I hope you feel better.

It sounds to me like you had a panic attack. It affects different people in tons of different ways but basically its an emotional disturbance that is triggered by stress.

Some people get short of breath, have feelings of unreality, think they're gonna die, get tremors, etc.

They suck, and if you're really worried about having another one or have had several already then you really should go see a psychiatrist. More likely than not they'll either prescribe you something to calm you down or teach you methods so you don't get so out of control when you have a panic attack.

PS: They're incredibly common so don't think there's anything "wrong" with you.

Seems like you are suffering from what I would call "Teenage Stress". I was a teenager once upon a time and I can relate. Best thing for you to do is take a deep breath next time. Find something fun that you like to do (read, write poetry, talk to friends or trusted relative). If those don't help, you may want to ask your mom to see a counselor about 'self mutilation'. I know when I was a teen and the world was sitting on my shoulders and my parents seemed to have been on my back, I relied on my friends to vent my feelings off to. Good luck to you hun, I know it doesn't seem like it....but it gets better.

panic................ it will get better once you are in school.. right now you are stressed because this is the start of your "real" life... Relax.. these are common.... if they keep happening in a few months go get some drugs... and if you wanna talk to someone most schools have counseling services that are free or low costs.
