your question is sort of like (then see last part):

i'd guess that in your lifetime, not when you die, all of your karma will catch up with you. i've seen it time and time again. that's why i have no need for planning revenge. it seems to me that everyone gets what they deserve, in equal measure to what they have done to harm/hurt another. it is as though the creator that many call g-d looks down upon you to determine what your misdeeds are, then figures out, since supposedly g-d "knows" you intimately and fully, what action s/he will take to give YOU (you are different from any other, always were and always will be) the appropriate wonder or punishment that is tailor-suited to YOU, and in the timeframe of what should happen to you when it should. now then, about this idea of your death being in the manner you most fear:

if you think that g-d controls how you shall die and you deserve the death of your worst fears, maybe you shall die in that manner, but i don't think so. (i think you get your kick in the a** when you are alive).

my uncle watched my aunt die miserably of cancer eating up her whole body. he said time and again to us all that he wished that he'd never die that way. well, one day he left a restaurant and walked across an alleyway. wham! out came a car, hitting him broadside, throwing his body into the middle of the street, killing him instantly. if he feared dying the way his wife had, he would have died that way, yes?

look at the ways people die: it is highly unlikely that you will die by a lightning strike, by your plane crashing, in a fire (maybe you will die of smoke inhalation, much more likely), or by drowning. hope you are not murdered either! probably you will die in a nursing home of natural causes or by heart attack or by cancer. hopefully you will write a durable power of attorney and living will, which specifies what should be done with you should you be in a coma, in a vegetative state, or in any other way unable to make decisions for yourself. it's pretty easy to download one of these from doing a search for "make my living will."

i hope you don't die in the way you fear. i hope i have absolutely no fear of death whatsoever when it is my time to die. i hope too that i have lived my life out in such a manner as to die with the fewest regrets possible. time is precious: live your life in the manner whereby you look at yourself in the mirror every day and can say honestly to yourself: i do my best, and i am okay.

Well it is also said by many, "that we have nothing to fear but fear it self." I tend to believe this to some degree, however, I put death in one nut shell, as to which one would we not fear from the list you gave above? which is more devastating? Any way one goes is especially frightening and undesirable when death comes suddenly! and "unexpected" as my old comic books would say, "O Horror! On the other hand, if one is a born again believer in God, he or she as a Christian should have nothing to fear. death is a stranger to all of us, so we all have some reservations about dying , and certainly about How we will die, there are sooo many horrid ways to go, I personally don`t want to go tragically! so I try to be cautious when driving etc. but I don`t feel that our fear of a certain deadly travesty will always come to pass in our end, yet it does for so many, "unfortunately".

I definitely do NOT believe that we will die of "our most feared way of dying".

That's a load of crap. If you even just take a few seconds to think about that for a few minutes, you'll probably come to the same conclusion.

Cheers :)

No. How you die is completely random. If you end up dying the way you fear most that would be a coincidence

Not sure if I can answer this in the way you would want me to or if your just looking for an opinion here. I myself would hope I would not die the way I would hope that I would not. My fear of death is drowning or hypothermia or even suffocating since I am thinking of it.
