It's not uncommon, especially in females. Some have weaker bladder muscles (the ones that control the urine flow)
Talk to your dr. about it. He/she should be able to give you some simple exercises to strengthen those muscles if this problem is really bothering you.

Well, "accidents" happen to everyone once in a while, but a full-on accidental emptying of the bladder is a little odd... but again, not unheard of. I would talk to your doctor if you are concerned.
The situation in which the "wetting of oneself" occurs needs to be taken into account. For example- I wet myself probably 2-3 times a year, SERIOUSLY! lol... BUT, I play in a difficult recreational women's ice hockey league and the times I have wet myself have been when I had a full bladder from drinking water during the game,and I have fallen down and landed on my butt with my legs in the air (kind of getting knocked backward.) I defy any woman with a full bladder to fall back onto her butt with her legs spread in the air and NOT pee! Luckily, I usually have a lot of sweaty hockey equipment on, so no one notices, and then I just jump in the shower afterward....
LOL, wow.... that is a really gross and embarrassing story! But its true!

Like when you laugh? Drink too much liquid and can't find a bathroom? Or wake up in a pool of dampness in the middle of the night. For some people 2 times a year would be a vast improvement.

I wet myself almost every day. I jump in the swimming pool without changing into a swimsuit!
