Actually I like "DO HANG WITH THOSE THAT SEEK THE TRUtH AND AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE ThOSE WHO FOUND IT" as a statement rather than a question.
You certainly want to be around those that are malleable and able to search and hear something different but those that think they have "arrived" are the most difficult to deal with because they hear nothing, are uncompromising, know everything and are very judgemental, and self righteous

I enjoy talking to those who are truly seeking truth but I can truly relax and find peace with those who have found it. The people I tend to avoid are those who don't care about anyone's information except their own. They cannot carry on a discussion of any sort because they are the only ones who they will allow to even talk. People who have found the truth are willing to share it but also willing to listen because they are secure in their knowing. People who are seeking truth also wish to be heard and they will listen. I don't know what sort of label to put on these other guys but they are annoying at best.

Yes, because it's hard to face bare & bold reality. What a dog does when it catches the car! Be careful what you wish for , you may get it! That's why Jesus said you must be as children. I'll add that you should accept what you were given and try to do your best with it until the boss man returns.
