I agree with you..No matter what anyone says on here..these people are always going to be thinking this way.. People feel like they have to have somebody to blame and gang up on..They find themselves listening to nothing but negative words against Muslims..and that just fuels their thoughts into worse thoughts..They also find bits and pieces of information & twist and turn it into something bad..so to get more people believing all the lies about Muslims.. This world will never be at peace with itself..because there is always someone who hates on others...then they seem to get more people hatin and thinking the same way...till soon you have a group of people saying all kind of things..what can you do?? nothing but be nice and calm and try to live our lives the best way we can.. i wsih this for ALL people...

I don't, but where are the Muslims disclaiming and denouncing acts of terrorism? If mainstream Muslims were to make it crystal clear that the terrorists do not represent them in any way, this perception would be lessened.
Quite to the contrary, it seems that every time there is a major terror attack, images come back from arab streets of people cheering. This is just incredibly damaging to the desired perception of Islam as a peace-loving religion.

no longer ALL Muslims are terrorists. The terrorists rather do get a lot of media interest and Muslim terrorists have carried out many evil issues. yet, there are various Muslims who're no longer terrorists. no longer all Iraqis are terrorists, in actuality many Iraqis are grateful for what the US troops have carried out for them via poor issues the terrorists have carried out to them.

Because people are to ignorant to see that Christians and Jews commit many acts of terrorism as well. Take James Charles Kopp or Timothy Mcveigh or Baruch Goldstein for example, were any of them Muslims, NO. Were they terrorists, YES.
As always, people who are occupied will fight for their freedom and consequently be labelled as "Terrorists." But then again, all the Muslims I've met, have not been freedom fighters/terrorists at all, just normal people living their lives.
It's time for people to cast off ignorance and learn to respect one another.

If we were to see Muslim protesting en mass as they did about a cartoon only against Islamic terror we would begin to think better of Muslims.
If we were to hear Muslim spokesmen attacking those who mutilated our soldiers first instead of first popping up to defend 'Islam' when Muslims commit terror, then we would begin to feel a little better.
If the major Islamic leader of the Middle East, Europe and USA would attack Muslim terror instead of being either silent or supportive, then we might begin to think there is hope.
But that doesn't happen. Why?
Stop the taqiyya.

Because they don't understand the different factions of Muslims, just like Muslims don't understand that Catholics and Protestants are all Christians, and the Protestants are divided even more. So there are many religions that are called Christians.

I do not think all Muslims are terrorists. It is the radicals of the Muslim Faith that are giving Muslim a bad name. It is the same with the radicals of the Christian faith who go around bombing things 'in the name of God'. Until we learn to let go of all our 'labels' (Muslim, Christian, Buddhist, Etc.) we will never grow forward as a society.

Its called stereotypes. In the same manner some people on Answers call aetheists - dumb, christians - fanatics, George Bush - stupid, Blair - idiotic, blacks - *******, chinese - yellow skinned.... you know the drill. THe trouble with this planet, everyone puts labels on everything and everyone who's different and stereotype one as a representative of the whole.

I don't think everyone thinks all Muslims are terrorists, I don't. But what is disconcerting though is that most terrorists we read of today in the news media are Muslims, or profess Islam as their religion. Why is that so? Has Islam really been hijacked by extremists, or are these extremists simply being faithful to Koranic teachings and the example of Muhammad?

All Muslims are not terrorists.
However, all suicide bombers are Muslim and that is a Muslim problem.
The religion is desperately in need of a Martin Luther type to reform the application of the faith.
