I liked a girl in my office and I want her to become my girlfriend. She is really hot and smart. She was the first to come to me and I think that she liked me. But there are other guys in the firm who are also trying to seduce her. However, no one has still been able to seduce her. Instead, she might have seduced us. I don't like them and she knows that she is the reason of the tension beeing built between me and the others, especially one of them. When I talk with her he gets really nervous-walks past, slams the doors, etc. He is funny, has a girlfriend, whom I liked but she went about with him, so I hate him. Besides he has started a second job in a club and she hinted me that maybe I should have to find a second job. There are some indirect things he does to show that he likes her and to show social status. She plays cold but I had a bad dream about them both together. It sounds silly but makes me feel bad. It's like everything is against me. And it hurts. Please, help!

If it's that bad, what can you lose by just asking her out on a casual date? It doesn't have to be anything major. Say, "Hey, Jane, Do you want to grab a bite after work today?"

And if it goes well, then tell her you'd like to do it again sometime. I mean, worst case scenario, she says "No, thanks" and has a real or made-up excuse. You say "alright, maybe another time" and leave her alone.

And the world keeps turning.

If think she might be attracted to you, go for it. There's nothing more attractive than being found attractive, and personally, I was always very flattered when someone asked me out, even on a casual "not-date," and wanted to do my best to get to know the person a little better.

Good luck!
