We could grant citizenship to Mexicans if they agree to serve in our military. I mean greedy businesspeople are already using them in unethical ways by making them work for nothing and ride around 20 at a time in little Astrovans. If they are willing to gladly do that as opposed to living in Mexico, then why not the military?

There is a little bit of sarcasm there if you didn't pick it up. I'm wanting to know if anyone out there feels this way. Me, I don't know what to think that's why I'm asking this asinine question.

That is bullcrap all that they want is to get and earn money they don't give a crap about our country, if they come over here illegally, and besides do you know how much money that would cost to buy a piece of land like Mexico. We can't just say that land looks nice.......Mr. President of Mexico may we have your land for free. Also the diseases in the USA would skyrocket. I know why you asked this though because you thought it would solve all of the illegal immigration problems, but it would cause more problems than you can imagine. It's probably the worst deal besides trying to buy France.

LOL. This is a funny question. 1) Mexicans aren't dying to be citizens in the US and if the only occupation they're granted is being in the army, is Mexico really a part of the US?? Or are we just using the poor Mexicans as lackies? 2) America has enough expenses as it is. Having to divide taxes among the Mexican and American regions would mean less for us, and there's no reason to do that!!

You know what is really funny, the mexicans hate the Guatemalans so if we take in Mexico then the guatemalans will start invading more of Mexico and they will have the same problem we are having now. When I was a property manager the mexicans that lived there hated it when the guatemalans moved in so they have their prejudices also. I hate to say it but I had so much trouble with the Mexicans I became a little prejudice and I really don't like myself for it.

We're already granting citizenship to illegals who serve in the military - you're a bit behind the times on that. Your main question seems to be why not make Mexico a part of the US though. We've got enough poverty we don't need to take on more. In short, not just no, but Hell No to your first question.

Actually I agree with you if you make Mexico apart of the U.S. one we would stay in our original part of the country and then Americans wouldn't say that Mexicans are stealing American's jobs. Then the Mexicans would have to pay taxes, we would have no excuse to get free aid in hospitals. But the reason that America won't do it is because a lot of Americans would lose their jobs (supposedly). Seeing as how Mexicans is the largest immigrant in the U.S. a lot of border patrol officers would lose their jobs. Also the U.S. would lose their cheap labor in the country and they would also not be able to go to Mexico to get products and manufacture products down their for a cheap price. Thus the U.S. would lose more money at the end then what they are supposedly losing right now.

...We've already covered this topic a zillion times.. so for the zillion and first, I will say no!!

...Why do I want illegals that do not even have the common curtousy to obey this soveriegn country's laws in the first place, to be here?....Why would I want this in my country?

...Furthermore, why the hell would I want them serving in our military? What a perfect way to annialate our troops...

If they can't respect our laws, what makes you think they'll pleage their entire allegiance to this country?

....I can't think of a better way to sabatoge this nation by letting them serve in the U.S. Armed Services...

....And to your question, NO!! HELL NO!!...

Can you imagine how ****y that would be? There would be 108 million more on welfare, doubling that over a 5 year period with every family having 4 kids by the age of 12.

NO!! NO!! NO!! NO!! NO!!

*"ding!! ding!! ding!!," sounds Rob's brain*

I GOT AN IDEA!! How bout the illegals go home and protest their own government-- that way they don't have to burden the entire United States on their way to victory!

The only answer I have is: If we were just to give the illegals who are here now roughly 12 to 20 million Amnesty it is going to cost You and every other US citizen $126 Billion($126,000,000,000.00) over the next 10 yrs. that is just the beginning cost. That is something to consider.

Believe it or not- this HAS been done before! Back during the Civil War -newly arrived immigrants were enlisted right off the boat in N.Y.C. to fight for the North. And if they lived (& most of them DIDN'T- surprise, surprise), they went on to become American citizens! I don't know though...-I'm not so sure that it's a good idea to let other peoples fight our battles for us. ...

You underestimate your question. This very proposal has been made numerous times for both Mexico and Puerto Rico. It sounds to me like the benefits would outweigh the negatives.
