There are three possible ways to evade a Polygraph test. One is that you are a person with pretty good emotional control. No matter what the question is , your body reactions i.e. pulse , brain activity, will stay the same( or you can be a sociopath he he), second is to put yourself in pain during the test, pinching yourself or poking a pen in your leg , anything to raise your body signals and keep them there no matter what the question is. Third is to go the opposite way. mentally remove yourself from the test. Put yourself mentally in a Happy place and be aware of the questions only distantly. Your body signals should remain a constant low no matter what the question is.

How To Pass Polygraph Test

Before you take the test they will ask some questions and will tell you how to answer. These are what they call controls. If you are nervous about the test these control questions will allow them to see that and know how your body reacts to you telling a lie and when you are telling the truth. As long as you tell the whole truth you will pass the test just fine. If you're going to lie you will fail. But just remember a polygraph is not allowed to be entered in as evidence in a criminal trial because they can be manipulated. The only reason they use a polygraph test is to help rule out someone that claims to be innocent.

There is a way to pass a polygraph test and lie on every question but you will need years of training to master that technique, so i won't even try to explain all of the details for it. If you wanna learn join the military and go into SPECOPS.

Polygraph Tips

In a polygraph test, only a few questions asked during the whole list of them are the crucial ones. The others are intended to test and maintain an average to compare the crucial questions to. The thing is, if your responses read as a lie for ALL or MOST of the questions, then it is calls into question the accuracy. Polygraph testers are professionals and know this. If you are so nervous that you cant read as truthtelling, the test doesn't work.

Why would you even want to take one? They are only 23% accurate. All are as good as the one reading them. They say a polygraph can't be used against you in court but that is one of the tricks. They say in court " This man/ woman took a polygraph and failed it right " then your attorney objects but the problem is that is has already been heard. The human mind will register that and your screwed.
I have taken one many years ago but since studying law etc. I will not take one no matter what.

Don't worry. Polygraph tests are really not very scientific or accurate and cannot be used against you in a court of law.

Alright I dont know how you have encountered a life or death situation that involves a polygraph but I will answer your question based off of my knowledge in forensic psychology.
There are several ways to pass a polygraph test, but all of them require you not to be nervous, if you are nervous, your heart rate is increased and the polygraph will detect anxiety which is a sign of lying.
HOWEVER, you can try the following, and these techniques are taught and practiced at several polygraph institutes throughout America.
First, you must mess up the baseline (this is the line they use to detect a normalness in your heart rate) they get this baseline by asking you relatively unimpeding questions such as "is your name Joe Smith?" or "Are you a male?" By doing this they can now detect anxiety by seeing seperation from the baseline after asking impeding questions such as "were you involved in the murder?" or "did you rape this woman?". To mess up the baseline you must force yourself to be anxious during the non-impeding questions and get your heart-rate up.
Second, you must have the capacity to convince yourself you are telling the truth, by doing this you must have the ability to make a story so believable that you would believe it yourself. Avoid trivial persuasion, digression and stay away from being way to specific, the more specific one is, the more suspect they become because it is a sign they are trying to diverge the questioner.
Finally, a more simple solution, put a few tacks in your shoe and tap your foot every so often, this will cause pain and cause your heart-rate to increase.
All of these techniques are much more easily said that done but they are generally techniques that have been studied and used in many fields such as military, police social experiments.

Take several Aspirin the night before, during the evening have a mild Cocktail. Just don't be so dopey when you appear for the test , as they may say---"Equipment not working properly because of humility----come back another day.

Then the Examiner is properly trained to take into consideration---your nervousness. The test will be in your favor when you tell the truth----life or death situations put aside.
