My family is considering a move to Macon, GA. My sister can work in Alanta, GA we want to know what type of public transportation there is. About how long it would take to get from one city to the other by bus and which buses to take.

The bus schedule for that community doesn't give me the details I am looking for. It only covers the immediate bus lines, I need to know which lines to transfer onto as well.

I'm not sure if the above responses were of any help, so let me try.
In terms of your first question, the timeframe to travel from Macon to Atlanta, that would depend on the number of stops that there are between the two. When you call Greyhound, I'd suggest asking about the express buses between Macon and Atlanta. The local buses will make several stops. By car it is about an hour and 15 minutes, so I would allow at least 2 hours by bus.
In terms of your next question, Atlanta is serviced by MARTA, and you get get off the Greyhound, hop on the MARTA train to Lindbergh Center Station, and board the #39, which provides service to Buford Highway. That particular bus runs pretty frequently, but you can check at the website below.
