I don't know if we're more obsessed about it than other countries. Perhaps we are, but it manifests itself in a different way. For example, in Western Europe, Italy in particular, there is a much higher rate of anorexia than there is in America. They definitely obsess about body image over there and not always in a healthy way. We obsess about it too, but instead we have a very high rate of obesity.

I don't work out, but I try to walk everywhere (work, grocery store, church, etc). It's a lot easier to stay active that way rather than trying to set aside an extra hour every day to hop on a treadmill. It pays off - I'm in shape and I haven't had to fill up the gas tank in nearly a month! I'm lucky the town I live in is laid out like this. Many people have no choice but to drive everywhere.

Definitely. I'm British and it's only because of the American influence that I have become so obsessed with diet, weight and body. On the Yahoo.co.uk website, you hardly get any weight/body questions, but on the US site, every other question is about weight and body. This obsession is completely out of hand and it is not healthy, because it has become too extreme.

I do aerobic dancing and boxing, and also weight training. I workout 3-4 times per week. I workout alone and I love exercising! I'm obsessed lol, damn you Americans! lol

I think most Americans are, but a lot of Americans are also obsessed with food, lol.
Me? I'm not so much obsessed, I'm trying to work out everyday now, but because I want to be fit, not skinny. I like having a little meat on my bones. But I don't believe in diets.

Oh I think we do, Europeans walk alot more than we do, not even half of our population does any kind of exercise. We're way overweight and we're getting more aware of it all the time, everything is getting cheaper to be super sized isn't it?
I love to work out, I teach Mon.-Fri. classes at 8:00am. I teach step, bosu, yoga, pilates, toning, and also weight train. It's too hot to be outside here now, or else I'd be real active out there too, bummer!

Americans are probably more obsessed- our media propagates that, although Europeans also place large value on body image.
Exercise is my favorite thing to do. I run.. alone, with my boyfriend, with friends. Classes are fun as well- kickboxing, aerobics, cycling. I work ou every day.
