That depends entirely on the medicine as to whether or not it is legal... what was it? It's probably not a good idea to sell it though, I'm sure your vet wouldn't approve... and it won't be easy to find a buyer unless it is someone you know.
To everyone who said yes, some pet medications are controlled substances and you would get into the same trouble as if you were selling oxycontin or similar opioids to humans.
If you can tell me what it is I'll tell you if it's controlled or if it can be sold...

All you can do is try - get the doctor to write a detailed letter as to why you need the pet and the condo should accept this. If not, they would be violating the law for service animals. This is one of the biggest reasons I would never buy a condo - you are buying a "house" where you are told what you can or can't have as a pet. I can see rentals, but not for something you are buying.

Im not sure about pain meds, I know you can sell some of the others though, but I highly suggest donating them to a shelter...a lot of them will take the meds because they are in great demand and get expensive. There are also places that will help homeless people take care of their pets and they will take the meds too.

No, it's not legal. You could be charged with distribution of a controlled substance. Even though it's for a dog, it's still a prescription pain medication. I'd be careful if I were you.

Yes very illegal, same as it would be to sell a humans medication. You can spend some BIG time for it if you get caught.

your vet won't give a credit on your account for the unused portion? I would not try and sell it to someone. If you got it from your vet then it is a prescription and if someone buys it from you and isn't sure what it is for they could kill their dog or make them very ill.
