I know there's an adapter available (I've seen them at K-Mart, Radio Shack, etc.) where one end connects to a single cable input jack on older TV's and the other ends have regular Audio/Video inputs like most current TV's & VCR's. I just can't remember what these type of adapters are called. Please help!

They're called RF adaptors or RF modulators, If you have more than one device you're hooking up, you could go with a video selector, it will have multiple plug-ins and some of the models (more expensive ones) will also have an RF modulator built into it. For an RF adaptor you're looking at about $20, for the video selector $20-40

What you're looking for is called an "RF modulator". Below is a link to Radio Shack's selection. That first one in the list looks especially nice, as it combines the modulator with an automatic audio/video switch so you can hook up multiple components.

you still should be able to connect everything through the one coax cable. Just run the cable from the wall, through each of your equipment (VCR, DVD, etc), and into each other. Then finish with going "in" to the Television.

It's most likely a TNC to RCA Adapter. The TNC end is the kind with the nut used to tighten them down and the RCA end is the kind that look like stereo speaker plugs.
