According to the GreenHybrid.com Mileage Database, the Camry Hybrid is getting, on average, about 37 mpg, in a sample of 118 cars.
Not exactly what Toyota published, but certainly not bad for a midsize sedan, either.

pal owned one yet traded in for a prius. He informed me the hybrids camrys basically get round 3-10 miles more desirable than the regularly happening camrys (normaly 5 mpg more desirable helpful allround). no longer fairly honestly worth the more desirable fee ticket, follow the old gas camry and the added funds you would possibly want to of spent on a hybrid might want to be what you pay in a years fairly worth of gas. Or get a prius

well, working for toyota, i can say that it really depends on the way that the driver drives the car.. with the hybrid, you are not going to see total fuel consuption on the car until after you break the car in at 5,000 miles.. then you are really going to start to see a difference in the milage.. normally to start off with you would be getting around 30ish and then it would bump up to where it should be at which is around 41 mpg.. hope that helps..

My 1964 VW Beetle gets better mileage than that!! HA!
Some hybrid, 40mpg is chump change, let me know when hybrids get 80mpg then it might be worth looking into.
