Assuming that people are born homosexual, and that God create all lives (just like creating different personalities) and gives His love unconditionally, then what's the big fuss with the Church accepting homosexuals?
Surely if ex-murderer or rapists can be accepted to the faith, there should be no bar to entry, so to speak.

I agree. Why is so much emphasis placed on homosexuality as a supposed sin which is NOT listed specifically as one of the 10 commandments but rather in obscure scriptures, while those actions which are clearly sins according to the 10 commandments such as murder, lying, jealousy, thievery etc. are condoned and forgiven and considered lesser than loving someone of the same sex.

Since the Christian faith is based on the teaching of the Bible then Homosexuality cannot co-exist with it. From the beginning of the Bible and towards the end of the Bible and in between, homosexuality is shown to be a lifestyle that will keep one out of heaven. Using the argument that since homosexuals may be born that way then its ok for them to live that way is not correct. The Bible teaches that all people, repeat all people, are born sinners. Therefore using the aforementioned logic, all people should be allowed to live out their sins since they were born that way. So if you are a bank robber-a thief, or a serial killer-a murdered, or a con artist- a fraud and liar, or a child molestor- pervert and probably a rapist or whatever, you were born that way and God loves you unconditionally-Not so! Weather someone is born with a propensity to sin or not, God requires that all people including homosexuals "repent" of their sinful lifestyles to be accepted by God. So there is conditional love from God. Unconditional love from God toward unrepentant sinners is temporary but once they die in their sins its all over. God's patience for repentance to happen is over. Judgement follows. Heaven or Hell.

Some so called churches embrace homosexuality. They are rejecting the Bible in order to accept some people as members. If those groups want to accept homosexuality the should do so but they should not take the name of Christ and say they are His because Jesus is the living Word of God representing the real essence of the written scriptures of the Bible. People should leave the Bible alone if don't want to accept its teachings. Those false church leaders should come up with another name to call themselves besides Christian. By the way it is the homosexual churches that make a big deal out of this issue. Have you ever seen a church that caters to adulterers or thieves and defends that by saying those people were born that way? And then they interpet the Bible to avoid the scriptures that say that stealing or adultery is ok. Lets get real.

It is contrary to current eschatology.
As is taught now Sodom was destroyed for guess what.
So the OT establishes that is not approved.
I guess you would have to remove Lot and the Sodom and Gomorrah text.

The argument is we are born with a sinful nature but we have free will to adhere to the law so it is expected we adhere to the law if we want the approval of Yaweh. (God in Anglo world)
Also the unconditional love is in conflict with mainstream eschatology.
Unconditional love is Aquarian - new age. The OT god is a god of law.
As far as I understand it Jesus came as a reformer of a ceremonial system gone mad and was described as "The Sacrifice offered up once and for all" He supposedly is the end of Mosaic law but then again he isnt. The law still applies but the sacrifices are ceased. Now you keep the law from love and not fear. The acceptance is when you change - ie "repent" (which means turn from) the outward sign of the inner faith.
I suppose the bottom line is one decides to live without the promise of heaven or fear of hell fire -- or alternatively obeys an external command.
The question I am always left with is - is it a valid request. When you consider the council of Nicea was convened by a Pagan one must suspect the agenda concerned something the convener wanted. Constantine was a sun worshiper. Not a son worshiper.
I suppose http://www.archive.org/details/pharmacratic-inquisition
has as good an explanation as is out there. They show constantine and the council lifted the egyptian legend of horus wholecloth and placed it on "Jesus"
The greek experience was "invalidated" which is strange since the NT is written in Greek and Greece was pivotal in early christianity. Setting Rome as the head of "the one true faith" would make sense though in light of who Constantine was.

Preach on, preach on! LOL. I love this!

I am not a christian, but do respect the religion in it's pure form. I agree with what you said. The problem here is ignorance and fear. There are some christians who don't understand that homosexuals are not the boogeyman. They don't understand that we are human beings. That we bleed, cry, laugh and love just like they do. For so long, we've been divided into us and them. And it's very sad. There are some christians that understand that love is the most important thing, no matter what package it comes in...if it is good, healthy love, than who can it hurt? But to the "them" we aren't healthy, we are a perversion...even though they cannot rationally explain why. They can point to their bibles, which were written by the hands of man, not god himself, but can give no rational explanation as to why we are evil.

Good luck with this question. I would love to see a day when we all could live together, in love and harmony. Don't know when it'll happen, though.

It has been existed as long as the universe existed such as the story of Sodom and Gomorrah but it existed outside the Christianity principle . However recently we have a new force of over propaganda that evil has brainwashed the Human Society called Democracy and Human Rights where condone the co-existence of Homosexuality and Christianity . Democracy is not a Principle of God but an invention of man . It is a Man's best attempt to Provide a System of Governing Sinful Man However the Major Flaw of democracy is that its authority flow from the Bottom Up rather than from the Top Down as it does in the Kingdom of God, Secondly the very premise of democracy lend itself in the appeasement of the masses as opposed to the commitment to truth & right. In essence Democracy in Action may may violate the Principles in order to maintain its existence so do the Homesexuality in Christianity at the PRESENT time

I think it can exist in the Christian faith just like any other sin does. Everyone sins, even Christians... everyone sins every single DAY including Christians. I think its a big mistake to say someone cant be gay and be a christian. It's all a matter of the heart. Did you know that in The Law, adultery and homosexuality are equally sinful? Offenders of either should be "put to death" according to the Law... and did you know that Jesus said that if anyone remarries or marries a divorced women they commit adultery? So if the church welcomes remarried people, then there's no reason why they cant welcome homosexuals. No one said you have to like it. Nobody likes everything you do either.(people in general not nessisarily the asker of this question)

The only big fuss is the continued act of homosexuality. Churches are filled with thieves, liars, and adulterers just to name a few. The point of a christian life is to repent from the sin you have committed in the past and not do it anymore. I personally see no difference between a person continuing in an adulterous relationship and the act of homosexuality. Both according to the bible are sin. Many Christians tend to rate some sins as being worse than others (usually the ones they aren't committing are the worse in their eyes), the bible does not teach that. All should be welcome in God's house.

Firstly your assumption is WRONG. No none is born homosexual. Everyone is born EITHER male or female. Sexual orientation is a learned behaviour, not an inborn trait. There's no gay gene!

And even though God loves us all, He does not condone sin. We love our children almost unconditionally, but do we let them do what they like regardless? Only an indifferent and lousy parent does that.

Yes, REPENTANT murderers and rapists can believe in Jesus, and so can REPENTANT gays! Such people may still face the legal and moral consequences of their choices in this life, but they are set right with God when they stand before Him in judgement.

For one, people aren't born homosexual, anymore than they're born pedaphiles or murderers. Most scientist & nearly all psychologists now agree on this matter. There is no difference in DNA makeup.

Secondly, there is no such thing as a homosexual Christian, any more than there are fornicating Christians or adulterous Christians.

Christians are Christians, no matter what. Once it's done, it's over with. What you choose to do in opposition to God's directives & laws does not negate your salvation. Many Christians need to understand that.

However, as Christians, we would no sooner allow an admitted, unrepentant homosexual to pastor a church or be in any leadership capacity, than we would an admitted, unrepentant fornicator, adulterer, drug addict, or alcoholic.

God bars entry to no one who has believed in Christ for their salvation.

First of all, I reject the statement that people are born homosexual. You also use the example of a murderer or rapist being "accepted to the faith". There is a difference between, for instance, commiting a murder, and repenting of it, accepting Christ as your savior, and deciding to live a holy life from there on in....to living as a homosexual and practicing this sin...and it IS a sin in God's eyes....day after day after day, without repentance.

The bible says that neither murderers nor idolaters not adulterers nor the sexually immoral, or drunkards or swindlers, shall enter the kingdom of heaven.

Let's not forget that when Jesus forgave the woman caught in adultery...and yes, He does forgive....His last admonition to her was "go and sin no more".

Assuming that people are born homosexual is believing a lie. God made them male & female.

God is the Father, Son & Holy Ghost. Jesus is the Only Begotten Son of God.

All forms of adultary is sin. So Jesus died on the cross for the remission of our sins. So when we have the heart change than comes from salvation. We wash in the Word of God. We are renewed in the Spirit of God. If we confess our sin, He is just to forgive us our sin & cleanse us from all unrighteousness. He will make us right. That is not always a pleasant experience until we understand that God is healing us.

The truth sets us free.
