Get a larger bed. What's wrong with a little kid wanting to be near his parents at night? Give the kid a break. I guarantee you that he will not still be sleeping with you when he leaves for college. Our daughter slept with us until she was 4. I asked her at age 4, if she would like to select some sheets and start sleeping in her own room. She chose Superman sheets at Sears and starting sleeping in her own bed with no problems at all. No crying, nothing. If a thunderstorm happened at night, we would find her in our bed in the morning. Even that stopped by the time she was 7. Why are people so afraid of children "developing habits"? It is not natural for a little child to want to sleep in a separate room down the hall from his parents. To be a good parent, you have to be a parent 24/7. This intense parenting doesn't last long, in fact, it goes by much too quickly. Let your children sleep with you when they are little, and they won't be sleeping around as teenagers looking for affection.

Is he in the same room with you to begin with? If not, I have tried everything to get my daughter to sleep. The ONLY thing that worked was letting her cry it out. It took about 5 nights, but she's been sleeping ever since. She's 28 months old, and just now about 3 months ago, started sleeping through. It was the hardest thing I had to do, but it worked. I would sit outside her door, because at least being right there made me feel better.

At 3, she is in all probability attempting for some independence so fairly play up what a huge lady she is for paying for her very own room and her very own mattress. save premier her returned to mattress. If she is scared or frightened, tackle her concerns. you may could study the closet or under the mattress. all of us understand the monster interior the closet isn't there, yet she's only 3 after all and new places could be frightening. She would experience "replaced" while the recent infant comes so that's mandatory consult along with her now approximately having a brother or sister. communicate approximately issues she will do to help while the recent infant comes or perhaps issues she will do now to help Mommy. stable success!

I was watching that Nanny show and what she did was already prepare a glass of water so the child had no other excuses and when it was time for bed the parent were instructed to return child to his bed no matter how many times it took, there was a lot of crying and noise but you have to be really consistent, if you let it go just one time it won't work.

bring him back to his bed and calm him down until he can sleep then leave the room, everytime you do this it should get easier, but if you back down he will try harder, with children it seems that it always comes down to whos will is stronger, if he knows this is the outcome and you mean business pretty soon he will stay in his own bed.

well, i used to do that with my mom and dad. They told me it was okay to want to be close to them, but i couldnt stay in THEIR bed. So my mom put a lil sleepin bag on the floor next to her and if i woke up i could have slept there. It worked on me. If that dont work just put him back in his bed when he wakes up!
Good Luck!

very simple.

buy those blowpipe, with sleeping darts on them.
then when your child is about to crawl out of the room or crib, just blow it and you're done.

snoring 3 year old in no time. easy right?
