I've stumbled across a theory that has been keeping me up at night, and I'm interested in your take. What if nothing is truly evil, and nothing is truly good? What if everything that occurs in the world is neutral....and we make it positive or negative by our response/reactions? If you think about it, this is actually a rather dizzying concept. That would mean that we would have to take total responsibility for our actions/reactions...and couldn't blame anyone or anything for our sorrows or our joys, because we create them ourselves. i do believe in a higher power, and that we are all trying to get back home....to rejoin with it (long story), and now I think I know how to do it. Take responsibility for myself and my spiritual growth. What do you think?

I don't think the concept is Neutral at all. To take full responsibility for your own actions and responses to what goes on around you in every moment.....is a very strong stand to make.

Your higher power would consider you "Good". The journey home, back to God is definitely one that is between each person and God. I don't think anyone else has the right to dictate the path home that another should take.

The concept that nothing is truly evil and nothing is truly good, except by our own thoughts about it, is a very difficult concept to make peace with, especially considering some of the horrific things that occur in our world everyday. I think this is where "free will" is important, because we can each choose to change somethings we disapprove of in any way we can....no matter how small our contribution may seem. To do nothing and to consider everything good....would be a more dizzying concept for me.

To take responsibility for my own actions or lack of action when something is clearly wrong...does not seem against God's will to me, so long as I take responsibility for the actions that I have taken and or chosen not to take.

I hope this makes sense.....I agree with the the theory and I support it.

Peace and Respect!

In all the posts that I've read this is one that makes the most sense!. And yes you are 100% correct. It is not nor has it ever been about religion or blindly following some faith. Those are there as stepping stones to help direct us and nothing more. Congratulations! and I wish you ever success on your journey. May it be an interesting one!!

Because the world is not neutral.

God, HATES neutral. why? Too many Christians are neutral, they won't take a STAND. The Bible tells you about neutral and God warns against it.
