Hmm, I know I can't do the character here in Answers, my computer doesn't have Chinese text support.
But I was always taught that the ethnic Chinese always called themselves "Han", dating back to the Han Dynasty back when there first *was* a unified entity one could call China.
Of course that probably doesn't refer to the entire nation *now* that it includes, at minimum, Manchuria, Inner Mongolia (on the inside of the Great Wall), and so on....
Oh well, live and learn. ;)

It is a Chinese symbol so I'm not sure how to write it but it sounds sort of like "Zongua" I guess if you tried to write it. It translates into "Middle World". Their symbol for America means "Beautiful World"
