My female cat is bleeding, I can't tell from exactly where (if it is from her vagina or anus), I have found spots on my carpet. I adopted her from a shelter a few months ago and she has scars on her belly and was declawed, so I'm assuming she has been spayed. She is not in heat, and is not acting any different. It is not large amounts of blood, just a very little bit. What could be causing this?

Your kitty needs to see the vet. I can't imagine a shelter would NOT spay a cat, so it's probably not uterine problems.
She could have a urinary tract infection. Occasionally, a tiny amount of blood in the stool is not overly abnormal (the first time I said that I rushed the cat to the vet, and it was nothing). But she could also have gotten into something that is injurious - whether it's a toy, poison etc., or have a tumor, or, or???? Only your vet can answer this.
Contrary to popular opinion, worms almost *never* cause blood in the stool.

Hi Chelsea...she may be overstraining when she has a bowel movement, which causes a little bit of blood to excrete. This isn't uncommon, however it may require medical attention. A couple possibilities are she may have coccidia or giardia (both bacterial parasites--see weblinks below) so a vet needs to do a fecal exam to confirm these. If it's an urinary tract infection she would need an urinalysis exam as well. Your vet would best be able to determine which is causing the bleeding.
Please consider at least giving your vet a call and describe this symptom to determine if you need to make a visit to have her examined. Be sure to save a fecal sample by collecting the freshest sample before your appointment and place it into a plastic bag in the refridgerator. Write your first and last name, cat's name and date and time of sample.

I would have her checked to make sure she is fixed but also it sounds like she has a internal problem she could be bleading inside and when she poops it comes out and wiped on the floor. Good Luck

She needs to be taken to a vet. Bleeding so many weeks after her procedures is not normal. Good luck.

She most probably has a parasite, or she could have eaten something she shouldn't have (and passed it with some difficulty). I would take her to the vet to be safe.
