O.k so im trying to gain weight and muscle. Im very toned, because I have little fat. I never understood metabolism. I mean is it a fast or slow metabolism that im looking for here. Now I'll admit I dont eat like a pig, but I still eat, and I never gain weight. For fa people this is a blessing, but for people looking to gain weight, its a curse. Im trying to gain weight and muscle, and I dont understand how burning calories helps, seeing as how more calories = more weight. What can I do to gain weight and muscle? Im working out recently.

Metabolism has little to do with gaining muscle. It has a lot to do with the way your body burns the calories in your body. The faster the metabolism the faster you burn calories. To gain weight (namely fat) consume more calories than you burn. The faster your metabolism the tougher this is to do. If you want to build muscle mass you need to weight train. Also, make sure you are eating protein.

My metabolism is low and I gain weight easily. I don't know which one you need to attain what your goal is. I do know that the correct food combined with the correct weight training will establish muscle vs. fat and put weight on you but in the right places. See a professional weight trainer for the correct answers.

You must do weight training to gain muscle. Protein shakes and other high calorie (not high fat) foods will help you gain weight. But, stay away from cardio or other high energy activities and you will gain weight in time.

Weight training would help quite a bit, as you'll gain with muscle. Muscle weighs more than fat. Go to bodyforlife.com and see their demo's with the exercises. You'll need to go to a gym for the equipment.

i know for sure that people with slow metabolism gain weight easier but it wont help u gain muscles u need to weight train for that.
