like in the back when you put it in a pony tail?? you take a section of hair at the crown (top) of your head, hold it straight up, and tease it with a comb. let it fall, smooth the top layer then you can put it up or keep it down

i think it's called a poof, and you comb the front of your hair up, and put something like a scruntchy or a rubberband or something on the small part that you combed up, so it looks like a bubble and then you pull the rest of your hair in a pony tail. hope that helps
