I don't know how to ask this any better, but my Dad had his little male dog fixed a few months ago and the little dog just recently got tied up with a female dog? I didn't know they still could? Does that mean he might have the female pregnant?

Yes they can... I have 3 dogs, 1 male and 2 female. My male is fixed and he still enjoys the time with one of my females. The first time I saw it, I called the vet, upset that I wasted my money, vet said, they can still go through the motions, just no need to worry about puppies. He has no testicles, yet still enjoys the ladies..

No not unless the operation was a failure for some reason. It's just like a man who loses his testicles due to accident, war, sickness etc., and there are many who do. He may (or many can ) still get an erection but can not ejaculate sperm into a woman as he has none. same with the dog if his testicles are removed.
Vasectomy is a surgical procedure to close the tube that carries sperm out of the testicles. This is a procedure is to prevent eh sperm from mixing with semen thus preventing pregnancy. It is usually reversal and has a good record as an effective birth control and much easier that a like operation on a female.
The male can still have normal intercourse with a few exceptions out of the 500,000 a year who have it done.
Pet owner usually have the dog's testicles removed to eliminate the urge, or sex drive. But often this doesn't work and the animal will attempt sex anyway. Another side effect sometimes is that the animal loses all interest in anything but sleep and eating, becoming over weight.

If the dog has been neutered the female wont get pregnant, but if the dog started humping before he was neutered then he will always hump.

Neutered male dogs can still "perform". No chance of pregnancy unless the vet made a surgical error.

If you had said he was neutered a couple weeks ago, then he could have gotten a female pregnant. But by now, that capability should be out of his system.

It *could* be there are still a few hormones floating around, but that should ease with time.

The male dog is still physically capable of intercourse, but, unless the neutering was badly botched, there should be no opportunity for him to impregnate the female.

Very unlikely. I mean he might still hump the female dog cause that's how they make friends, but I don't think he could get her pregnant.

What do you mean by "tied up"? If they are neutered they can't get anyone else pregnant, but they might still hump. That's a dominance thing, not a sexual thing.

The dog will still be able to become aroused and get together with another dog, but there will be no pregnancy from it.

they can but they usually dont get the urge, but because it was recent that he got nuetered thats why he still had the urges.
since he was nuetered he more then likely did not get the female dog pregnant.
