i posted this question a whie ago:

Im having a REALLY PAINFUL series sharp pains shooting through the back left side if my head about every 3-5 minutes and ive been up all night crying. Ive heard before this can happen from infection inside the body but i am not sure if thats true. What is this and what the hell do i do about it? It's KILLING me!!!!!! I took 3 advil and it doesnt help one bit!

So i went to the ER and they took an x-ray of my head and they said everything looks fine. The doctor gave me a muscle relaxer for the pain. Now the pain has changed locations and nothing helps for the pain!!!! Im going for my follow up in a week (if it doesnt stop) but just curious.....What do you think it is?

AAAAHHHHH I know how you feel!!! I had this happen about a year ago. Two days straight.... i missed work... i couldnt sleep....I was in a ball crying!!! Oh i went to the ER. The first one gave me vicodin and told me to sleep it off.... sleep what off??? I dont drink, smoke ,or do drugs!! Next ER took me a little more seriously...they did an MRI which by the way showed nothing wrong. then they gave me an injecion in my but of some pain killer, which did nothing cause the pain was so intense. I thought for sure I was going to die!!! I was sent back home with more vicodin....they said maybe you have a cluster migraine or a really bad sinus infection then they gave me antibiotics.. nothing helped... I cannot exspess how much pain i was in!!! eventually the pain went away, i dont know if it went away cause of the meds or if it went away on its own............ All i can tell you is those were some of the most horrible days of my life. I feel for you!!! Keep going back to the doctors, go to different ERs if you have to. make someone do something!!! your body is trying to tell you something. Make the doctors listen... GOOD LUCK!!!

go to a chiropractor.. A chiropractor asesses your nervous system to make sure there is no neurological interference. The shooting pains can be caused by subluxations in your vertebral column. You don't have shingles, because it would have been identified in the ER. Chiropractic will help you.. Good luck!

you could have an ear infection, or you could have migrains. these might also be cluster head aches.

I would try having a MRI or a CATscan with contract. I would go to a different ER try taking tylonal and an advil
