Husband should love their wives like Christ loves the Church & gave His life for it. The wives should submit to their Husband as the Church submits to Christ.

Wives should obey their Husbands in the LORD. If the husband is verbally abusive to Her & telling her to do things contrare to the LORD, she doesn't have to listen to him.

Neither should deny each other, but should submit to each other. Read Ephesians 5.

Wives aren't worthless, so for husbands to discipline her by being physically abusive would be evil. Christ disciplines the Church the right way, so let God do the disciplining if it needs to be done. A husband can alway go to God for wisdom when He doesn't understand His wife.

The husbands should be disciplined for giving the wives a reason to be disobedient! Obviously, the husband isn't being attentive enough!....hey...how about 20 lashes with a wet noodle while he's chained to the bed! LOL

No, God gives us choices, so why should you be disciplined by your husband, that is garbage, who do you think he is? He doesn't walk on water and he sure isn't perfect. Should you disciplined him? Nobody is without sin. God made women out of a man's rib not to be stomped on but to walk b y his side as a companion. You don't have the same brain cells as your husband that's what so great about God you are free. Only you can make your own choices with respect for your husband but not to be disciplined by him.

If husbands respected their wives like the next verse in the Bible says, it would never be necessary, and if by discipline you mean to hit her, it's never right for a man to hit a woman.

No but arrogant husbands who think they are in charge, should be disciplined!! What is this the 1700's. Get with the times. Women are no longer subserviant. Are you middle eastern?

I don't see anywhere in the bible where it tells me to discipline my wife. Men are commanded to love their wives as Jesus loved the church (he died for us by the way). We are commanded this because God didn't make us to love. Women are commanded to respect their husbands for the same reason. Without love and respect in the relationship... well, it's not much of a relationship.

oh... and what's a plonker?:)

You mean when they disobey them? A man has no business treating his wife as a child. They are supposed to treat them with respect, care for them, nurture them and always praise and adore them even when they have a bad hair day. If more men did this we would see alot happier men for there wives would do anything for them.

Did you read about the womens buttkisser? The kind of man
who holds the Bible over a womans head, saying he is the head of the house? And when he pisses his woman off. He thinks
the only way to get along with women is to kiss thier butt.

No.....

God will judge in the end. Women are going to be judged on how well they submitted to their husbands (should they marry).

Men are going to be judged on how they led the family and loved their wife. That doesnt mean that he should not listen to them and value their input, for they have much good input to give. But God designed different roles for them.

22Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord.

25Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her -Ephesians 5:22
