When I saw this question, I laughed out loud. I have a cat that does the same thing, but just with the water. He LOVES to play in the water. If I put water in an ordinary bowl, it is empty within seconds. Literally! I tried buying a big huge non-tip DOG bowl thinking this would solve the problem, but nothing I've tried solved the problem until I got a Drinkwell water fountain. It's REALLY heavy. He tries to drag it around but he just can't. LOL.
However, he sure loves that running water! Both to drink & occasionally to bat at. :-)
They have similar feeders for food - wonder if that would solve your problem there? :-)
Good luck!

You can buy a food and water dish in a stand that the cat will find extremely problematic to knock over. That's what we did for my grandma. Eventually, the cat gave up.

You need the stuff in containers he can't knock over. When we had this problem, I put the water in a 8X8 glass cake pan, and the food in a heavy bowl.

If you give it tap water then try bottled. Try different brands of food and feeding in different spots. My cat also does the " bury the food thing" but if I leave the food out long enough he eats it all ! Also, talk to your cat and play with him, he may just be bored.

he doesn't like the food your giving him, try another brand of cat food. Also it may be hurting his teeth and knocks water into the dish to make dry food soft.

THANK GOD! I thought my cat was insane- he knocks them over and carrys the water dish around in his mouth. I'm ready to take him to a cat psychologist. Let me know if you find something that works.

get a bowl for your water and food that has a continuous feeding bottle on top and they can not move it the only thing my cat does is he likes to wash his feet in it and look for the food on the bottom of the bowl.

For doggies I continuously use the clip on holders finished with bowl which you will clip over the component of their pen. this form they're off the floor so the domestic dogs do no longer save colliding into them whilst they play. they're like those people purchase for the interior aviaries for birds, only greater. maximum puppy shops sell them. The shredded newspaper is a few thing you will possibly desire to stay with whilst they're this age. it somewhat is a non-stop conflict to maintain the pen tidy. As rapid as I placed sparkling stuff down they have been on the instant on it and shredding it to bits. evidently they are on the degree the place they might desire to be in an exterior shed or kennel with a domestic dog pen so they might now start to bypass potty exterior. in case you may contain a patch of grass in the pen lots the greater desirable. they might desire to start to do away with on the grass and this might save you countless stressful paintings and additionally this is the initiating of housetraining. Ten doggies are countless stressful paintings. in the event that they're great doggies they might bypass to their new proprietors at 8 weeks. evidently they might probably income from being with their new families now for one to a minimum of one relationships. each and all of the suitable.
