a week ago my father was involved in a very terrible car crash...he has been in a coma for the past 7-8 days,i w i dont know what i should do...yes its true that he has been abusing me but i never saw my mother before, all i rememebered was my father although he is harsh, but he was there for me, i dont know how to wake him up, i feel tired,useless and angry..his wife my stepmother never came at all, what kind of lady is that? nor did she send her children we couldnt reach her,,i dont knw where she went, i was supposed to be send awy to a new house , but i cant go now, i want him ot wake up, i dont mind if he cant walk, i will take care of him although i my self is ona wheel i odnt mind, i will take care of him till he takes his first step, i want him to wake to up, the doctor said he can listen to everything we tell him, i tried reading a book which he likes, i touched his hand its cold, i feel so tired,for the week i was by his side,i will always be,...i love my father,...please help

Dear Rivern, I know that this is a lot for anyone to go through. You are doing exactly what You should be doing. The fact the Doctor's say that He can hear You is good news. Talk to Him. Read His favorite book that You brought to read to Him. Read the Newspaper so that He will be caught up. Be sure and read the part of the paper that He likes the best. Then read Him some of the Cartoons as well. Hold His hand, and let Him know that You are there, and that You love Him, and want Him to wake up, and be well. And pray, God can do things no one else can. If there is a Chapel in the Hospital, go there and pray. If they have a book for prayer requests, write down Your prayer, so that others can pray for Your Dad too. There may be a Chaplin that can come to His room and pray with You. Just keep doing what You are doing. You are a good Son. Hope Your Dad will know that very soon.

Pray of course, but you should also ask the nurses or the Doctor to set up an appointment with the hospital social worker and air your concerns, they are there for the family as well as the client.

for what its worth my mom and i weren't close for many years but i lost her 3 weeks ago and my just broke into i miss her so much their was so much i needed to say to her but it was to late I'm very sorry to hear that your dad is in a coma just keep talking to him tell him how much you love him and need him over and over he can hear you tell him he is all you have and without him you have nothing but if you have anything you wont him to no now is the time to tell him but most of all let him no you love him and pray with everything in you good luck and god bless if you need a friend you can IM me ok

honey im sorry...i hope everything turns out for the best...im sure he will wake up. he needs your support, keep talking to him and try to hang in there even tho its hard to do sometimes...you need to take care of yourself too...make sure you get the rest you need..its tireing being sad i know this...try to remember the good times you had and talk about them to him.. it helps. good luck

nothing u can do but pray... when it's time then it's time.. but he might can hear u.. just continue to visit him and read to him and tell him how much u luv him and need him...

you arevdoing all you can for him he knows youre there for him and he knows you love him just keep praying god will hear you .
