Your parents have to assist you to the gate and someone has to be able to pick you up at the gate once you arrived at your destination.

You can go as "an unaccompanied minor". The regulations are different for each airline, as to whether a flight attendant will have to sit with you on the plane, then escort you to the security checkpoint, where a designated family member or friend must meet you and sign paperwork. Some airlines don't really bother about kids over 14 years old. But if you want to go, have your parents call the airline to get the exact information. In the case that you might have to change planes and make a connection to another airline, they would probably have to call both airlines to figure out how it is going to work. Children fly alone all the time, even on international flights.

Yes. Your parents will have to arrange with the airline. There may be an extra fee for this. Each airline has its seprate policies for travel by unaccompanied children. What you see below is southwest airline's policy.

Policies for Children Traveling Alone
Southwest strives to provide the best possible service to our Unaccompanied Minors. For this reason, we have special policies and requirements for children between the ages of five and eleven who are traveling without an accompanying adult.

Unaccompanied children between the ages of five and eleven may travel on Southwest Airlines provided the child has a confirmed reservation and the flight on which he/she travels does not require a change of aircraft or flight number. Proof of age may be required, so be sure to bring the child's birth certificate or other valid identification that shows the child's date of birth.
Children under the age of five must be accompanied throughout their trip by a Customer twelve years of age or older.
Children who are 12 years of age or older travel under the same policies and terms as adults.
Southwest Airlines will be unable to transport Unaccompanied Minors on flights anticipated to terminate short of or bypass the child's destination due to weather or other operational situations.
Southwest Airlines personnel are not permitted to take children home or remain with them overnight in a hotel. If the child is not met and the adult sending the child cannot be reached, or if the child cannot be returned to the originating city at the sending adult's expense, the child will be turned over to the custody of the welfare department or local police.
These policies apply on Southwest Airlines only. Other airlines may have different policies and procedures.

Yes, you will be flying as unaccompanied minors. You'll have to check with the airline as far as their requirements, some stipulate that unaccompanied minors can only fly non-stop, others don't mind, but almost all will add an additional charge to the ticket cost. The person who drops you off at the airport will have to know exactly who will be picking you up at the other end, and that person will be asked to show photo id before you'll be released to them.

You need someone of responsibility to be meeting you on the other end. You also need tickets and if you're going out of the country probably a letter from your parents saying who will be meeting you , and that they gave their permission to go there.

You probably should contact your local travel agent though to arrange all the details.

When you parents bring you to the airpprt they fill out a paper wit information and a numer hows gona pick you up at the other airport. And you will have someone who's gona watch you at the airport, brings you to the plane and tell a flight attendant that you fly alone.

My niece used to fly from California to Illinois when she was only 5. The flight attendants keep an eye on younger children flying by themselves.
