Dogs have been carefully designed by nature to chew things. It keeps their teeth clean and can keep them from extreme boredom.

Buy a red thing called a Kong from a pet store. Every dog loves a Kong and they are virtually indestructible. Dogs have to have something to chew on.

Once a week, buy the dog a raw marrowbone which has been split longwise so the dog can eat the marrow inside. This should last for a week. THen throw it away and buy a new one.

If he is a pup then he will chew what ever he get his teeth on .You should give him a chewing bone as he is growing his teeth will be coming out and it will feel itchy and hence this chewing every thing to reduce the irritation . Do give calcium too for strong teeth.if he is a big dog then you have to consult a vet,and give him good exercise and regular walks as dogs do this in boredom too to attract attention from you.wishing you all the best with your pet.

This is a problem easily fixed. Get an old shoe and in the tip of the toe put about a teaspoon of peanutbutter way deep inside it. The dog will go nuts trying to get to the peanutbutter and forget all about chewing on other things.

When we were teaching them to stay off of the furniture, or other places they didn't belong we set mouse traps up. You can set them around the things that are most likely to be chewed.
