Why is God not to blame for leaving out the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, and allowing Satan into Eden?

In what way was the innocence and naivety of Adam and Eve not like that of four-year-olds -before- A&E ate of the Tree?

Why is it God is not blamed for being (at best) neglectful with His creations?

Well, I personally can't see how this could be a bad question.
But, according to the rating it is, so THAT just shows you are hitting home to the xtians who can't rationalise that one either, but are too stupid to admit it...LOL!

Perhaps it's all in the name? Change yours to 'God' and I'm sure people will flock to your defence against the charge of willful neglect.

:)

He was not neglectful. He laid down rules, and then allowed His children, who were mature enough to follow those rules, the choice to follow them or not.

We use words like innocence and naivety in our world today, but they really did not apply to Adam and Eve. They were something else-they were pure. There was no such thing as innocence because there was no such thing as guilt. To say that they were naive is to say that they did not know the difference between what was right and what was wrong, and that they did not understand the consequences of their actions. Neither are true. The Scriptures are quite clear that Eve knew that the fruit was forbidden and that if she ate it she would die. She was not naive, she was rebellious, and Adam acted as a weakling and a coward through his passivity.

To compare Adam and Eve to four year olds is wrong in that four year olds (i have a five year old and a 19 month old) don't understand consequences. They are not mature. Adam and Eve were created mature, and again, from Scripture we know that they understood the consequences of what would happen.

To say that God is guilty, not Adam and Eve, is an attempt to take guilt away from ourselves. It does not work that way. We, and they, are the guilty ones. God gives us choices. We choose.

I can see where you are going with your questions and why you ask, but it disturbs me that you would even make suggestions concerning a four year old child in such a way. I am not sure why you want to goad Christians in this way. If you don't believe in God, that is fine, that is your business...is anyone on here trying to convert you personally? We DO NOT know God's plans. We do not know the purpose of the Tree of Knowledge. He has SOME reason to put it in the Garden. Satan just deceived Adam & Eve--He did give them free will and they were not created with the mentality of a 4 year old. God created them in HIS IMAGE, which meant they possessed intelligence. They understood if God said "don't." it meant DON'T!!!!! They were not the evolutionists' neanderthal people.
Some may call me ignorant because of my beliefs. Some may call me naive for not questioning "why" God did things the way He did. But, I do trust Him and I do believe in Him and I do agree with the way He did things, because it is HIS WAY and IN MY OPINION He is the Supreme God. All knowing, all seeing as to what is best for all of mankind. I am truly sorry you don't feel the same way. Not sorry for you....just sorry. But I am not going to belittle you or put you down for not believe. Ok, so I might rambled a little here--sorry,But my main point is leave your 4 year old out of your musings about 'how' and 'why' and 'why not!' I can't imagine even suggesting
exposing my children to those dangers even for the sake of argument.

I think you're giving Adam and Eve more innocence than they deserve. They're no different than you or I. They were warned and given everthing else they could possibly need. They coulnd't follow one rule, that's kind of the whole point you seem to be missing.

What you're saying is God should give us free will but then take away any temptations. That doesn't really show any value on our part. It's like loving those who already love you, what's the great accomplishment in that? Having free will and temptation and still choosing to do good, now there's an accomplishment that you don't see very often.

Imagine if you hired a maid but you weren't sure if you trusted the person. & Before you let her have free reign to clean in your bedroom, where you keep your precious jewels, you might want to test her honesty. What would you do to test her?
You might restrict her to cleaning the main rooms of your house at first ...but then leave a few dollars somewhere she could see it, like on a table, to test her and see if it dissappears.

Makes kind of sense to me.

Maybe the whole thing was just a test??
the fruit wasn't poison. It enhanced their knowledge. The painful part was the punishment God inflicted , right?

I think it must have been a test.

We will all be held acountable for the choices we make.We will be rewarded as well if were saved.Even people who are led by the Spirit don't do everything right,we all make choices. But if were being led by His Spirit then He'll grow us up in Him and we'll bear fruit i.e. love, peace ,patience, kindness, gentleness..Because things born of the spirit cannot be understood by things not of the spirit.Look at it this way He gave them everything but the one tree. They were made in His image like Him but not perfect. He is with us by His Spirit. He is ever present everywhere.I hope that helps.Blessings VIJ

allowing satan to eden?. first of all , according to the "bed time strories" call the bible. satan or (stan, as i like to call him) was lucifer, the morning star, the first born, the most beloved of god.
as for adam and eve, i think this is what happen, lucifer might have tried to stop eve from eating that damn apple but this stupid humans just gave him the finger and did it anyway. so god blamed stan and ask mickey the arcangel to cast his *** out but punished adam and eve by making them mortal and god also gave them a gift ...that is to enjoy shagging as much as you can.
yeah!! baby !! yeah!!!
oh behave!!!

Adam and Eve WEREN'T four-year-olds. And God gave us free will. Leaving out poison is a MISTAKE. And if your child is left with an abuser, it IS THE ABUSER'S SIN. If this is a rhetorical questions, it is an annoying one. If you are angry at God because of the consequences of choices you made, then there are better venues to vent your anger than this one.

If God had not given Adam and Eve a choice to choose to do right, there would be no opportunity to love. God did not want automatons serving Him. He wants His creations to choose Him. If there's nothing to choose between, then there is no point.

Adam & Eve were innocent of sin, not naive. They were adults with adult minds, & perfectly capable of choosing not to eat from the tree, as they had been instructed.
