Hey, people, you have to specify what service someone is in. Almost everything varies by service. There's no master interservice database. If I knew what service I could help you. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines.

Nope just search around for military type questions and then when yall are hanging out just throw out a question here and there. If he doesnt know basic military questions then he prob wasnt in....
For example ask him what the core values of the branch he says he was in....If he was in he would know that.

Yes. Very simple. Ask them if they served and talk to them about their rank. If you need proof like for employment ask to see their discharge papers or if they are active duty, ask to see their military ID.
