Idk. My school has a dress code, but they don't even enforce it. I mean, why have one at all?

The Dress Code ws started by the school districts, why should they stop it? It helps all students look "equal". No color. In the past having the same jacket put you in the same club or group. Now it just puts you in the same GANG.
There is a huge diffenence between clubs and gangs.
Get over it.

college districts have gown codes that are printed on college web content and handed out to persons who sign in their babies. The gown code is in place to curtail gang interest and sexual promiscuity in faculties. besides the shown fact that, as a boy, wearing a gown will deliver you ridicule. do you prefer to placed on a gown just to "make a factor," get interest, or via fact which you're a guy trapped in a woman's physique. while you're a variety of transgendered varieties you're able to attempt to sue for sexual discrimination (with suited documentation). stable success. maximum circumstances are thrown out via fact the school's have been given evidence that such people have disciplinary issues, are "particular desires" pupils, or be stricken by different disabilities. you would be uncovered to greater ridicule than you bargained for.

All of the above--plus. If you think it makes no difference notice the behavior and incidents of acting out when a school (where uniforms are worn) has a free dress day. The campus is transformed!

It all depends. If you're not spending a ton trying to look trendy for school, it can actually save you money. Most American schools have some kind of setup for parents who truly cannot afford the uniform.

Why stop it?
It makes all the kids look the same, so nobody gets picked on...
